Does this prove that having VMware + each in a different IP pretty much useless for the amount of resources that it takes up? I thought with it I would get hit 1 or 2 at a time but I got hit 13/13 :(

all a vm and seperate ips do is make it harde on blizzard to spot each account. if they put in the time and check the moneyflow and invesitigate the other accounts they still can spot all. using a vm gives you a chance to save accounts, but it does not guarantee it. Let me put it this way i know of several occasions where someone using vmware with seperate ips got only hit on a fraction of his accounts, i never read any 1/x reports where no vm/vp.n were used.

All bot on the same IP, split between two computers, each computer only has one bot opened simultaneously.

and he didnt go 24/7. its all just speculation but my guess is blizzard is not spending that much time investigating other accounts, and a quick scan if the pc was running more then one instance for a longer period of a time is a pretty bulletproof ban criteria. My second pc is not running vmware either, guess ill see which group lasts longer

1/2.

most of the time both ran in separate vms, same ip tho. running them with no vm now.
the one that got banned, in the ban email it was accused of cheating which means they knew it was a vm.

don't think any of those layers of tinfoil will keep your bots safe, bra, sorry.

VMWARE DOES NOTHING!!!!!!!!

2/54 Banned.

No VMWare.

correct but if they never linked the accounts in game through trade and stuff then there would be no link at all and that is how virtual machines can be very powerful when combined with separate ip addresses.

i had such systems setup in the past and i will setup such a system in another game soon.

so you saying they were able to ban all my 13 bots account because they traded with a single mule account? Do you think they put this much effort into banning people?

one possibility is that they linked them through the mule. another possibility is that each account was doing the exact same thing as all the others and they fit some pattern. for example if they decided to ban everyone who was doing a certain thing for over 20 hours a day, then that would hit all of them no matter what.

that is a lot of accounts going to one mule, that could have raised a flag also.

also, if you directly traded the items/gold for nothing in return. that could have ended up linking them all. may have been better if you put some items in trade.(i dont know what you did)

these are a few possibilities. i dont have a lot of experience with this game but i have a lot of experience botting games in general.

can you describe how you set up your vmware

did you just create one, install d3 and bot?

did you change your hardwareid and mac address?

Each instance of a virtual computer should have a unique hardware id and mac address... I installed fresh D3 on each of my vms. 13/13 hit.

Well Vm does do something...

In a talk with a gm here from my country, she told there was too much provs and logs of someone playng 24/7 on my computer... (nothing to deal with trade or multiple acc, they didn't have a link for it either in my case and not sure if they even have a log for it.)

All my acc got the templates of bot for "too long playing", really not sure how they filtered it.
Since my oldest acc didnt got banned at all... and is still 24/7, I can just say they like to prank us ;).

On the other hand I've seen from the 1k bans about 20 accounts running 6h+ day.

Btw the GM at any moment havnt mentioned a bottling software, he told me just like this on the talk.
"Your account was tagged due to the large number of hours playing, and won't be unbanned. Someone were playing from your comp on your acc, that made u an extra potential profit and breaks the game fun for other gamers and also some "laws" according to the rmah."

Its pretty dumb they could see I was bootling 24/7 but If I werent they would unbanned the acc. Or would not even banned it. (Words from the GM itself).
So I pretty sure they have no ingame ways to detect it, except the large amount of hours that can be tagged for a single day on their logs(dosnt matter if it was 2months ago its already saved on logs).

I actually thought about using the gah for this, put up a shitty item on your mules but them with the non rmah accounts. youll loose 15% of all gold and would be limited to use the gah (though gah fetches equal prices to rmah in eu anyway) but i doubt they ever check for that. would be the safest way possible without using 3rd party sites to sell to.

on the other hand im running 9 accs on ***s with unique ips trading to a few mules for months now, most are p90+, bans will roll ineventually because they just have immense time spend ingame, so all the precausions might be overkill.

So that sounds like broken English way of saying "We banned you for economic exploitation" Wasn't that the catch all ban in WoW? Trying to manipulate the auction house.

I've never had any issues with mule accounts getting banned. Do not be tempted to bot on the account and you should be in the clear. Virtual machines can reduce the risks, but what is the point of VMWaring if you're botting 24/7? You're at the same exact risk if they do a scan as all of your bots are online regardless of if it was on a single machine or multiple.

The ONLY reason I could see using a VMWare/*** is for mule accounts so it is harder for them to tie via IP.

Say what you want but when you get a blank ban on your IP and it does happen, it could save your mules. That is a COULD save, not will save. That is the only reason I see for doing it.
