Hi guys,

hardware topics suck, but i KNOW you got some answers for me, right? :)

my new PC is running 24/7 for about 3 months, GPU, Ram etc. is fine - but my CPU is too hot (between 63 and 68?) when running 5 bots.
already checked the heatsink paste and cleaned the tower.
I got a additional big fan at the top of the tower

I think the included amd cpu fan needs a bit more power or is possible that the heatsink paste is already done after 3 months?
Some advice for the next steps would be nice... need to get this fixed soon, already got a automatic shutdown last week because of 70? cpu :/

greets

it might be depending on the quality of the paste, and how hot its getting it could cause it to dry up quicker.

really i would look at ether adding more fans or looking into an aftermarket cooler or even water cooling. seems like the stock cooler on the card is just not doing it for you.

the paste is definitely dry, there is only some small dry amounts around the circle. not all over the circle.
maybe i was a bit too greedy when applying it.

the problem is i don't have a clue which cpu cooler is a real upgrade and worth the money?

some additional info:

with this topic i want to fix 2 "problems" -> 1st one is a shutdown of my pc because of hot cpu. 2nd one are lags/mini-freezes where the reason is the cpu (usage between 98-100%). At least i ASSUME it's the hot cpu which causes mini-freezes... my system was already running without this freezes when the temp was a bit lower...

The corsair h100 cooler works great on my bot rig. But it is a double radiator setup so if you only have room in your case for a single radiator ( this would go where your rear exhaust fan is currently located) the corsair h series would work fine and this water cooled setup is completely sealed and requires really no maintance.

It is also the same price as the super fancy CPU coolers like the cooler master v8 and stuff.

I just ordered a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo yesterday for my 3570k, lots of positive reviews. For the price, it seems very good.

I got the same one for my i5-2500k, it does wonders. My cpu temp never tops 40 C and is very quiet.

Installing it was a bitch though, but same goes for installing any cpu cooler haha

I would say that you should go with water cooling. Antecs water coolers seems to be working great, I'm using one of them.

Antec.com - Product: K?hler H2O 620 <-- This one I am using. My I7 is running @ 35 celsius
bit more expensive:

Gotta warn you though. My cheap model was a bit too much plastic (atleast the "legs" that holds it down) So I actually broke it a bit when I changed my processor. However I were still able to attach it with a bit force & it worked great haha xD

My cpu is running at 70~75, FX8350 overclocked to 4.6 with normal noctua cooler.
AMD is far behind INTEL now

70*C causes an AMD to shut down? That temperature should be fine, really. My OC 3770k is howering around 68-72*c on the hottest core and it is no problem at all.

Hey there, got the counterpart setup (Intelstyle)

And yes, if you are going to max out your CPU & Components you should really go for an aftermarket cooler. I would never dare to use those crappy intel stock cooler on my system.
And if you are Austrian like me, you should stick to the best cooler "made in Austria"

Happy Shopping :)

Temp seems to be stable at ~48? with 5 bots, but still those annoying micro-lags/freezes sometimes :(

my system is up to date, dunno if overclocking is a good choice for running 6 instead of 5 bots...

I recently bought a new rig.
Has AMD FX 6300 on it. Running with 6 bots, playing LoL at the same time doing some random browsing listening to music and on 90% cpu load with 59 degrees of temp.
I guess thats fine?
Thinking of clocking it for 1 or 2 more bots.

EDIT: Nvm forgot I have my old rig here aswell which I can run 2 bots on so wont clock 8)

70 ?C is fine. My Intel is running between 69 ?C to 71 ?C, without any issues.

I've never seen my temps go above 45 C, however I have an i5 3750k with water cooling, and am only running 2 bots and playing borderlands 2 while i bot.

I would recommend getting water cooling, depending on the type of case you have will determine what radiator you can use. I recommend getting one with push/pull fans that you just hook up to the rear 120mm fan.

I can run 5 bots with my AMD fx 4170. No overclocking. its at 33-36 C.. But I was thinking of upgrading to 8 core. coz the CPU usage is 90-100 all the time

just curios why demonbuddy produces such cpu load? up to 10% per demonbuddy, is that normal?

and another question: when i start my PC the cpu usage is at 70-85%, after 1 hour its 90%, after 8 hours it's 100%.... ??? O.o

Temp is stable at 48?

Have you set foreground/background frames to 20 (or even lower) in D3 Settings. Right now I have 5 bots running with my system and CPU load is around 45-55. No lags as far as I can see.
What grafikcard do you use. I upgraded mine to a 7850 recently. Ultrasilent and no problems so far.
