AMD FX6100 6core getting too hot

gigabyte nvidia gforce gtx560 ti 1gb

also got RAM overkill... 2x Corsair Vengeance blau DIMM Kit 8GB PC3-12800U CL9-9-9-24
and 2x KINGSTON HyperX 8GB Kit PC3-12800U / 1600MHz (from my old pc)
so that should be enough.

well, i don't even know if my cpu is strong enough for +5 bots....


i use this D3 Prefs, they decreased the CPU load great at the beginning, but after some time i am back at 100% CPU Usage, dunno why...

You shouldn't mix ram, either all corsair (which I would suggest) or all kingston. (although they might be the same timings so might not matter)

if anything I would suggest ditching the AMD and thus your motherboard and swapping that out if you can.
An i5 (or an i7 would be amazing) is leaps ahead for multiprocessing. i7 has the multithreading which will make the performance better too.

However that's talking $300-400 upgrade, so you would want to be running 5 24/7 to make it back in the first
~month.

no, piledriver is very competitive with sandy bridge at better pricepoints

FX-6300 and FX-8320 are the best price/performance you'll find atm

(i bought 2 different ram because at D3 release i had much troubles to get even 1 D3 running stable and i was testing days and weeks with different setups)

well, too bad i bought AMD few months ago :/ i think when i try to sell a used AMD i get like 40 or 50 bucks?

the question is, can i handle 7 bots with a new intel and the other parts?

i7 with not many other processes running in background would ease 7 bots, needing 16gb of ram too since each process uses a non-negotiable ~1gb~.

I really don't know much for AMD so you could probably get it done for a bit cheaper with one of their chips, but I'd be willing to spend the extra bit for Intel, much better products imo.

560 ti should be okay, I don't know. I have 2x 550ti in SLI but unfortunately D3 doesn't support SLI so I basically run all mine from my no.1 card (and it runs hot).

The Memory should be enough. The AMD CPU and Graka isn?t that bad either. I think it is all about tweaking your D3 Prefs.
I am no expert in that, but settings should be at 800x600 windowed. Everything set to low, or off (shadow, music, antialising), vsync off, max forground/background dps to 20.
Do you use YAR (yet another relogger), it makes the windows even smaller..that should save even more cpu power.
Give it a try...;)
 
tried YAR, but i had one big problem: when i want to check my stash i have to maximise the windows anyway, and after that i have to start D3 + DB completely new to get the old small window. that was annoying...

or am i missing something?

I just run mine windowed and drag it to resize.
 
sorry, but i tried different things, nothing forces the window to get as small again (as is was when i start YAR)

- i start YAR, small window, everything fine
- i have to check my items, drag the window to a suitable larger size
- i want to get back to the old small window, but maximum is 800x600

i can drag it, i can doubleclick it, i don't have a clue how to force the window size to "small" again without restarting it completely.... ;)

Just click the resize button in YAR options ;)
 
if u got stock cooler its crap:P turn off turbo option, change ur cooler for something bigger. U can also try to turn off 2 cores so u ll have 4, temperature should go a lil lower. Sadly more core= more temperture:/
 
i already fixed the heat problem with a nice new cooler.

it didn't fix my problems with micro-freezes (all the time) but that's another story.... at least i can run 5 bots on my actual setup, i should be happy with that O.o ;)
