I was farming Act1 pre 1.0.5 manually for very little return. Paragon was a nice addition, but by then i had wasted many hours. So I started to bot soley for fun, and i wont use it to sell items/coin for money. If anything, i enjoy funneling decent items to my friends.

I first botted in Everquest - though that was more macros to run multiple accounts (not AFK). I rejoind EQ last year and made a posse of bots, was a blast of fun. I also botted in Aion to get that lvl30 blue armour. I botted in Aion as i lost interest in the game.

I try to minimise my influence on other players, though i do sell items very cheaply on the AH which would have *some* effect.

From friends who quit ^^, I've gotten ~8 accounts just asking people who dont play anymore.

Well I farmed and was happy in 1.05. Prior to that it was all a big waste of time. But as soon as I started playing the ah and making real money I realized the game had more potential then just fun. I then bought 1 license... which became 3.... and Now it would be irresponsible of me to play the game for the game when It can make me as much money as it does.

Fear The Roo Go Zips!

I wanted to play this game legit and try to make some (half decent) cash out of it. Due to duping/botting and everything the market was ruined so legit players return on time invested was destroyed. That coupled with the fact that some really terrible bugs/spell combos meant certain people early on got in and took over the market meant that someone without an early edge on things didn't stand much of a chance. If you can'te beat em join em :/

Played legit for the longest time. Leveled two chars to 60, paragoned my wiz to 31 on my own and paragoned my monk to mid-teens. After I had conquered the ubers and realized all that was left was Paragon level, I started to hunt for Leoric's Ring.

Got tired of grinding for the ring so my first bot purchase was to try and find the ring with a bot. Never botted before and had no idea what to expect. Found it worked incredibly well and decided it could work well for keys too! There were zero profiles for keyhunting at the time, and so began my quest for Keys and foray into bot dev.

Now I find myself enjoy programming my bot to do what I want. I'd much rather watch my bot do what I tell it than play the game itself. If PvP ever makes it, I might toy with that but most of my buds have dropped off the game. For now, it's the pleasure of development and watching the fruits of my labor (unfortunately more enjoyable than playing the game).

it depends, i never botted to sell or farm items, so does that make me a legit player?

I was legit too, i had big plans for diablo. First i saw that they started to nerf woman's wiwi, then my dh, then i was counting 12 active bugs on my dh and 5 on wi. I saw they dont give a fuck about game, incompetence everywhere, then i said fuck it, i am a human bee not a walking wallet, "woman give me your account, we are gonna bot this game to the ground".
