trinity is badass to keep good rares, but the score means nothing as far as legendaries or set items are concerned. Points are given to an item based on the affixes they roll, legendary and set items have affixes that never spawn on rare items of the same kind (such as +attack speed on the lacuni prowlers. you're not given any score for that roll). they are not credited for these stats.
The best example i can give is the Stone of Jordan. it will ALWAYS score a ZERO in trinity. Why? because it doesn't have any random affixes, and the only 4 properties that are on that ring cannot spawn on magic/rare rings and are not giving any points. That doesn't stop the SOJ from being an item that sells for minimum 1 mill and can easily roll into the 100m+ if it rolls well.
Imo, if you try to modifiy trinity in order to keep/sell some legendaries solely based on score to save yourself some time, you're making a big mistake.
