The most efficient MP is dependent on your gear.

Even if you are oneshotting everything in mp0, you are still potentially limited in mp0 due to the max movement speed cap and the max mf cap. Since the movement speed cap is the same in each mp, the only variable is mf.

Do you remember back in the summer of 69 (pre-1.05) when maxing mf was essential to good drops? This was because mf effects your chance to drop a legendary, and also the chance to roll a higher number of affixes on a rare. This is still the case. Items & Equipment - Game Guide - Diablo III

If you have the damage and survivability to efficiently kill and mame above mp0, then it will be more rewarding to do so.

An example from mp4;
Total tracking time: 16h 6m 3s
Total deaths: 5 [0.31 per hour]
Total items dropped: 12906 [801.62 per hour]
- Rare: 2501 [155.34 per hour] {19.38 %}
- Legendary: 22 [1.37 per hour] {0.17 %}

As a rough guide for tweaking efficiency, run for 10 hours to get a baseline figure:
- 0 to 0.5 deaths per hour, then try going up by one mp
- if after new 10 hours, if your total items are below 700 per hour OR rares below 130 per hour OR deaths above 1 per hour, then back down you go and get better gear, otherwise start running in circles and making kaching noises while onlookers point and stare.

The difficult thing is choosing to equip that awesome item rather than selling it. Also when you do get banned, you will lose more $$$ per character. This is perhaps the only good reason to run a fleet of cheap, barely-owning mp0 bots instead. Risk and reward is a whole other story?

So then, the most efficient MP is dependent on your gear and balls..."I like balls".

So are you saying if you are paragon 100 then you have maxed your MF and also MS at 24% going up MP lvls is useless?

No. You should always try to get your base mf up to its cap of 300, so if you are at paragon 100 it just means you don't have to wear any mf gear to achieve 300 and can switch your follower gear from mf to offensive.

At mp0 the mf cap is 300 plus 75 for 5 stacks of neph valor = 375%
Each additional mp gives you +25 mf and raises the total cap by 25
At mp5 you are 300 (base) + 75 (5stack) + 125 (from monster power) = 500%

It's obviously better to be 500mf vs 375mf, but only if you are killing quickly and not dying much. This may seem unlikely, but there are people running above 150k unbuffed dps with expensive gear. Is it better to sell good gear instead of using it? That's up to you.

I'm atm running act3(315%mf with 5nv) at 190k dps ww barb (mp2) everything dies within seconds but still my loot is pure crap... tried increasing but the stupidity of the bot just gets me killed more often so its not worth it... average over night(midnight till 7am) i get like 3 legendarys or set items which i dont find to be enough... tho i just started botting few days ago and still testing what suits me best...

I think this and how many hours u bot, there most of us who might have computer power or xtra comp setup for botting, so that and the usually rng + gear dependant (efficiency) + the amount of time you bot.

Most people would go kamikaze bots = profit while they can vs. careful people that bots 6 - 7 hrs a day or per overnight to get better profit per volume ( so u can sort sht and valuebles

Well said. This pretty much sums it up.
This and dependant to your efficiency in killing bcoz its no use going high up with sort of gear and get owned 10 or more times just by one or two encounters with blues/yellow mobs lol

Unless its been proven that higher MP has a better chance or higher frequency of getting better stat item's, botting in lower MP's is more worth it.

I'm running DH at MP0, I die from time to time because bot keeps running back and forth to decide whether to take a globe or avoid the vortex/pools/des. The DH got about 300res, 50K hp, 80k DPS, 47% CC, 350% CD and 140% MF. Running on just one account because I haven't decided whether to buy another and if I need to. Looted 3 legendaries on MP1 when I tried for like 5h and 0 on MP0 for 10h. I don't know, the gear is shit and running on MP0 seems much more efficent. Obviously I'm poor as well on D3, hoping that will change in the future ^_^

I bot MP1. Anything higher up to MP4 pretty easily I can still do with most of my characters. I just find it inefficient to do so.

Why choose MP1 if in A3 MP0 mobs are still lvl 63?

How many legendaries do you, guys, find at 0 or 1 MP? I tried 0 and 1, but very low amount of useful items, around 0.5 legendaries per hour. At 4-5 MP I have 1.2-1.5 while item drop (~650) is the same.

My barb does 50k dps. His side kick does 11k dps. total combined dps of 61k. running mp4 and getting about as much exp/hour as I did at mp2 before i upgraded his gear. Getting much better loot at mp4.

going to mp5 when I get my barb to 80k total dps. mp6 at 100k dps.

Wonder if anyone has calculated the bonus item % (monster also has a chance to drop an additional bonus item)? So 1 run of mp10 = 100% bonus item.

Would that mean:

(1) mp10 run = double item drop every time, so...

(1) mp10 run = (2) mp0 run???

I've tried from MP0-3 and I find MP0/1 to be the most efficient almost regardless of what gear you have.

yes but itll take 4x longer to clear, possibly longer compared to MP0/1

i think is three that extra chance of drops helps a lot.And you need at least 100k damage, but if you go further mp 3 mobs take forever to die =p
