What's your armor, life on kill, AR, dps and attack speed?

80k Dps (with breath of haven) - Acheived via Skorn Crit Damage + Attack Speed + ~30% Critical chance
4000 Armor
750 AR
3K Life on kill
Minimum 25k HP (else you will die vs strong packs before you can regen hp)

81k dps
4500 armor
475 ar
5k life per kill
29k HP

Running better today, maybe just AUTH server probs, I'm off for a hour walk now, so will report back then.

Wouldn't say more dps is a must, though it is faster and more fun.
but more resists would definitely be a positive boost to your monk, you have 300 under what i would call perfect and 200 under from the minimum i would aim for.
Still little deaths/hour so can't complain :)

Had a heap more resist on the gear I swapped out, I'll try find some other stuff on the AH, but as you say so little deaths it ain't a biggie.

Trying this out atm.

A few questions:
You mention that the change to GilesTrinity.cs is to enable spamming of Wave of Light, but how do you guys do that? I definitely don't have 75 spirit all the time. Am I missing something here? :)

Secondly, Im having some issues with reaching 80K DPS, Im more like 67K. My main stats are these, what ought I change?

Dex 1738
HP 43.900
APS 1.27
CHC 29,5
CHD 348%
AllRes 848

My skorn is 1280 DPS with 312 dex, 166 CHD and a 70% CHD gem in it.

I feel like any slot I wanna improve will cost me a fortune to increase DPS compared to my current. Which stat should I lower in order to increase DPS?

You have high res / crit damage
I would try swap those for higher attack speed (don't need over 750 res if dps is high)

Wave of light spam means it uses it the moment it can, Giles set it to use on 110 spirit I changed it to 90 :)
In order to get more spirit.. That I can't help :p

Hey, great guide. Do you think my monk could run this build if i get just the items you mention? Below are my stats. I built him after a long time off the game, with just 1 mil money saved (spent 700k on him). If i farm 15 mil and buy the weapon, boots, bracers and head do you think it will be enough or do i have to revamp all my gear? I tried running the build with the current gear (manually) and it's fine but doesn't kill fast. I currently have no problems facetanking shit in Act 3 but more speed would be welcome.

in terms of able sure.. due to that high res + armor you won't die.
but running with a skorn with life on kill can be a problem due to the low attack speed and critical chance that you have, so your dps will be low and you wont kill in time to get back health from the life on kill.

I see what you mean. My weapon now is 1.2 and skorn is 1? So even slower. :( Maybe trade a few pieces with resistance on them for others with attack speed and crit chance?

Possible..
Easiest way is to stack crit chance and attack speed (skorn gives over 200 crit damage with emerald inside)
Thing is chest, pants and so on... don't have an option to get these stats... so start with amulet, rings, bracers and gloves.. then go for an andariels visage
Remember 15m is something you get back in a matter of few hours.

Andariels Visage: 8% Attack Speed
Lacuni Prowlers: 8% Attack Speed
2 rings: 14% More attack speed
Gloves: 8% Attack speed

With an amulet I can get up to 1.5 aps

thx for the guide. running act3 now with 4death/hour and 66k dps. going to increase it to get 0 death/hour
 
Giving it a go with Stone of Jordan, looks promising.
its a 2-5m ring that gives you 5-6% more damage, 1+ spirit per sec, 20-30% more damage against elites, extra chance to crit hit with wave of light

Just for reference i bought one this moment: 6% poison damage, 2.05 spirit regen per sec, 22% extra dmg vs elites, 3% extra chance to crit hit with wave of light.
cost me 2m gold.

If you are able to find a cheap one with extra damage for fists of thunder i would consider that perfect. don't try this with low attack speed as i think it will eventually lower your speed due to less teleports from fists of thunder
 
hey may i get some help on changing the code. becuz when i tried my monk just stands there. but when i manually fight he still collect the loot and moves to a different area. but he still doesnt atk
 
I have no idea what you are talking about, but if it's regarding the suggestion for editing the trinity code, then i think it's better you download the file from the link i posted above.
It works 100% just make sure you have sweeping winds and mantra of conviction or else it won't cast wave of light.
