Trinity - Wizard Class

hey Beardi would you mind posting your build stats and config settings? or pm me?

Build:

Deep Freeze
Crystal Shell
Blood Magic (Force Weapon)
Prismatic Armor
Storm Chaser
Improved Archon
Blur
Critical Mass
Cold Blooded (SOJ on scoundrel with +cold damage freezes enemies)

Stats:

94kdps
38k HP
5.3k Armor with EA
900 AR with EA (650 unbuffed)
2.6 Lifesteal
755 HP/sec
38%CC
1.5APS (low I know)

Settings are default, don't pick up health globes, plague avoid HP @ 40%, potion at 40%HP

Think that's it, let me know if you need any other info.

lifesteal in blood magic doesnt work in archon :(

At the moment :P I use it for when I'm out of Archon vs single targets and/or fail avoidance settings lol.

Anyway as soon as it's fixed in Archon happy days.

Just to be clear, Lifesteal on the weapon DOES work in all forms, the 1.5% lifesteal from Blood Magic does not work in Archon form.

Cold blooded with be better than Blur or evocation?

I have a source with 10 apoc (10 apoc on weapon too). I'm afraid that if i chage my source for a shild, i won't have enough apoc

get a helm with APOC, a shield with 250+int ~19% block ~8%crit, swap blur for coldblooded

Total tracking time: 1h 12m 14s
Total deaths: 1 [0.83 per hour]
that's a full run w/o any movement speed + a random dungeon or two

How many deaths is too many?

Everything is fine, but you need more EHP, so boost Armor/AR/Vit/Life%

I'm running with those stats (but with 100k DPS) at 3 deaths/h. Using build I posted above somewhere.

get a helm with APOC, a shield with 250+int ~19% block ~8%crit, swap blur for coldblooded

Total tracking time: 1h 12m 14s
Total deaths: 1 [0.83 per hour]
that's a full run w/o any movement speed + a random dungeon or two


1h12m is too long for 1 run, even with 2 random dungeons. With 12% MS I clear full profile in 40 minutes.

Running at over 8 death per hour... I'll get a shield and a helm with apoc. Thanks for the tips
 
Anybody tested a working build for 1.05? I'm a little worried for my wizard!
 
question, why is the bot skipping mobs randomly or not killing them completely. really strange. does any1 have a idea or solution for this problem.

my kill radius is set to 40 and loot radius is set to 60
 
forget about any of these builds in 1.0.5 past MP2

you'd better have >5b in gear, or stay in MP2 if you expect to bot.

forget about any of these builds in 1.0.5 past MP2

you'd better have >5b in gear, or stay in MP2 if you expect to bot.

Farming with any class above MP3 will be less efficient than farming MP1-3, even if you have "5b" worth of gear.

The wizard build for the bot will be
Archon - Improved Archon
All Passives set to DPS boosts (Glass cannon, cold blooded etc)
Rest of skills all pure DPS, no defensive skills at all.

The most efficient MP level to farm will be MP1, simply because even though MP10 gives you an extra 225% MF/GF compared to MP1, the following things hold:

1) Increasing MP levels does NOT increase the # of rares you receive.
2) The higher MP level in itself does not effect the % of 6-affix rolls on rares, however the 225% increase will return 'roughly' a 1% increase in 6-affix rare roll drops.

This means that if MP10 (or any MP level in between) takes less than 1% more time than MP1 it is worth farming, but seeing as in MP1 elites have ~1m HP, trash ~50-200k hp, and MP10 Trash has 500-2m HP and elites are 20-50m HP, the speed that it takes (not to mention the increase in DPH at higher MP levels, and the cost to bot realistically in higher MP levels) is not worth the return on rare drops OR legendarys.

From my experience of the PTR there is a slight increase in legendary drops per elite pack in higher MP levels, however as stated above the time that it takes to 'farm' is ridiculous.

An example:

Bearing in mind that a full Gangamstyle A3 run for a 100k dps wiz is 35-40 minutes currently, this is equivalent to MP3 when 1.05 hits.

Within theory this means that MP1/2 will be faster than current run time, so let's assume its 30 minutes a run.

MP10 equivalent runs will take upwards of 2 hours to complete (and that is being generous). If (and this is not the case but lets take it as being so) the drop rate for legendary's alone is doubled this means that (on average) a full run of MP10 gives you 2x legendary drops, yet within the same time period we could have completed 4xMP1 runs at 1x legendary drops.

Total:
MP10 2x base drop rates
MP1 4x base drop rate

Over the same time period.

If you have any questions about the logic behind this then please feel free to ask me, the best class for farming once 1.05 hits will be pure DPS. Survivability no should no longer be a factor.

beardi: thanks for the info. whats your opinion on CM/WW in mp1?

should we all regear to archon, or is CM/WW doable?

whats your opinion of minimum hp/dps/chc/aoc/as for each build respectively for reasonable (>1 game per hour, <5 death per hour) results?

i want to be ready for either build when 1.0.5 goes live
