Accounts banned

Hello xxx,

I'm sorry but your account has been confirmed to have violated our terms of use and as such has been permanently closed. As the previous Game Master said it is our policy not to reveal details regarding account investigations.

Regards,

Niall,

Guess i'll have to start looking for new ones now!

The fact that they can't reveal details is such horse shit.

That's like the police coming to your doorstep, beating your face in and arresting you, for a reason they decide not to tell you.

Can one understand a routine. That would be very helpful. I botte 24/7 to 10 hours on a profile. Then I play one hours normally. Or is this contribution from blizz. Nobody knows exactly ...

Yeah, botting a half dozen accounts 24/7 for the last three weeks. No ban. These legitimately never used any program outside of DB + IsBoxer.

Interesting thread.. thnx for sharing.. Luckily I havent been banned yet but when I do I think ill just grab the money I earned on RMAH and buy another game :p.. DB is all thats left for me in D3, if I cant do that I'm just gonna quit :p

Thank you so much for posting this ban report. I personally value stuff like this. I am not some big time botter tech guru black hat ninja overlord, just some scrub who can't afford stuff on the AH.

I like seeing stuff like this (not people getting banned, just the sharing of info), since I only bot on my main account for the most part, and it is so I can stay geared enough to progress. These types of reports I always find helpful so I can adjust playstyle/botting patterns if needed.

I'm assuming he's banned because he's been botting multiple accounts on the same IP/HWID.

6 accounts all going at the same time, reporting the same IP/Hardware ID = Eventual ban.

now i might be wrong but i bet this guy had 1 friend atleast on hes friend list that didnt like what he was doing:)

I dont think that cause he had 6 accounts banned and i suppose they don t have all the same friends lists!!

Let me just enter my paranoid mind... Thread poster part of Blizzard to SCARE? people...

CONFESS MOTHER FUCKER!!

if not, sry for your loss

Tell that to my 6 Softcore DH's running 18 hours a day (all same IP, same Computer) or to by 6 Hardcore Barbs running 15 hours a day (all same IP, same computer but different computer than the DHs).

All under my real name, address, all accounts purchased through Blizzard Digital Store. All emails are nearly identical ([email protected], [email protected] and so on to 12).

If you are going to say, "don't worry yours is coming", I would like to point you to my 3 years 24/7 running WoW accounts, same computer, same IP.

So don't, assume anything when it comes to Blizzard

IMO it could've been the powerleveling. Anything that leads to your account beeing investigated is a potential risk. I'm not saying they do it manually but if they catch you for one thing, they might scan for others at the same time or try to match the HWID's of a banned account against other accounts and so on.

At least for the last years, very often when I see a multi account botter banned. He gets banned on multiple accounts at the same time, even if it's not all of them.

And the main account would not show up with botlike behaviour even though it had the same HWID as the others. Heck, you could even have been flagged because of the money transfers to the main account.

If I was banned by investigation, I have few ideas what might have led to it:

- Used few bots with remote desktop all around with different IP:s, so the accounts were locked many times.
- Newest bots I had were only 4 days old when banned, with only ZK normal and A1Q1 hell done (no blacksmith etc), farming inferno.
- My bots used to crash a lot when running 6 at the time with old version, this might have brought blizz's attention?

Flagging had to take place in time before I was banned, since 2 barbarians I was not using got banned too. So the accs banned was my old farming set (2*B 4*DH).

One freshly bought DH wasnt banned, and he is still going strong with a few new friends :)

Here's my thought on the matter. While I am new to botting as whole is not possible that because you WERE botting 6+ accounts on the same IP & Hardware (mac address) that they determinably seized your accounts because they wanted to curb the massive profit on one IP where one person accounts with one bot who only bots sometimes has far less a risk because he is not making gold transfers and does not do anything but actually play the game with the money? I am probably wrong, but I am just trying to add some of my very broken logic to this.

This is why we need demonbuddy to behave more like a human and less like a bot

The only thing I used apart from DB was ISBoxer, which isn't against the TOS

if they say it is then it is.

if they dont like your face they can ban you.

do you think blizzard doesn't read these forums??

want to know the bottom line? you were 1 ip address running 6 versions of D3 with lots of Demonhunters. If some guy looked at your account they would think you were a botter, and then they wouldnt need to prove you were using DB, they could ban you for using the multiboxing software and you do not have a leg to stand on. and even if you were perfectly innocent they'd ban you to make sure anyway as you would only appeal and get it back.

if it was a warden issue then it would ban everyone.

if anyone bots 24/7 then they deserve to be banned. bot safely or not at all.

lol most ppl. bot 24/7 since the bot was released..99% not banned
anyway i only bot +-10 hours..

You do realize that when you buy that pretty new Demon Hunter, you don't know where she's been? That bitch could've been flirting with another bot for a month by now? Recent players list can give you the shaft? Change of IP can get you flagged? Urrgh, gross.

Not that hard to bot from 1-60 using DB.

indeed there seems to be a misconception that D3 botting is automatically safer than wow botting is.

the chance that the bot itself is compromised is very low, although the liklehood that a botters actions are obvious, 3 accounts with the same ip all playing demonhunters repeatedly killing the same mob over and over again is suspicious no?

blizzard do not need to ~PROVE you are botting, suspecting you is enough. you have no legal right to any defence. they can ban you for using a logitech mouse, Demonbuddy or multiboxxing software if they wish.

how would they know if they can only scan the exe, well you are sending the same keystrokes to THIER server at the same time consistantly.

i'll say this again, blizzard do not need to ~PROVE you are botting, suspecting you is enough.
