Tip on how to boost your GPH with 100-200k...

Have went through 2x OCZ drives, both crashed and were no longer able to be seen by the bios after only a couple months use.

Newest one is a Newegg.com - Mushkin Enhanced Chronos MKNSSDCR120GB 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) It screams, and has been problem free. SSD drives make a huge difference in your speeds, i would highly suggest them to anyone..

Ps; We are all friends here, dont have to turn this into a flamefest!

NM i'm dumb. it does have the bracket. amazon doesn't specify on the same drive if it has one

If you've never used a computer with an SSD then you really shouldn't critique this poster. When I built my computer that I use now, it was meant to have an SSD in it but I could only afford 120GB at the time because they were $280 bucks. I installed it, nonetheless just to see the difference. My load screens in WoW were all about 1 second on average. I couldn't deal with the low space or afford another SSD so I just put my old HD back in but I can tell you honestly that I miss my SSD pretty badly and I can completely see how it would increase my GPH by a decent number even if it only shaved 1-1.5 seconds off my load screens (remember, there are 2 load screens per game.)

I think the majority of people critiquing it are mostly disputing the 200k number for most users. I keep my system clean and speedy. Simply upgrading the hard drive is unlikely to yield 200k more considering the loading screen is already very minimal. I have no doubt it will increase it some.

Buy a SSD.

Just installed my new 120gb SSD and not only is my computer on steroids now but my GPH jumped by 150-200k on each bot. I was only getting ~300k with ~250% before the upgrade, now im getting pretty much exactly 500k on all three bots with "identical" (+-20%) gold find.

SSD's are very cheap now (compared to a year or two ago). Buying one will boost your GPH so much that you'll get back the expense within a day or two.

I was thinking this too... I'm going to upgrade my Asus g73 in future change mg HD to SDD and max the memory till 16 gb..

has anyone here tried running diablo 3 from ram?
im considering to try it, i have 16gb but i dont want to use 8gb that seems too much imo, i use photoshop and other games in the meantime

My brother makes 100k+ more per hour with less GF% than me. We are using the same class/profile/DB setup. I have more dps and GF.

His computer:
i5 2500k
GTX 560Ti
8gb ddr3 memory
120gb ssd drive

My computer:
AMD Athlon x2 4200+
9600gt 512mb
2gb ddr memory
300gb 5400rpm IDE drive

He is always 100k+ GPH than me... So SSD seems to help out a lot. Oh and he plays a 2nd d3 while botting. My CPU barely handles 1 d3 lol.

So maybe just fast computer> slow computer in GPH.

Honestly in discussion like this GPH is irrelevant really, since there's so many factors influancing it. A much better comparison would give number of games per hour. Im at 87 with WD using SSD.

I didnt, you know why? he's kinda right, SSD Speed up loading times, less load = more golds.

Man, is not like that. On my junk laptop the loading times are almost instant even with my 5400rpm drive because of Windows who is caching the game in RAM anyways after the second map reload.

do you think fps is also important?

i took advice of staff who said 15 fps is good and thats what they use.. but since i increased to 50 my gph has gone up

Generalized statements like this make me LOL. If you saw the speed of my M18X with my Vertex 4, I doubt your opinion would stay the same. There is definitely a HUGE difference, and for all around system performance a SSD is the best upgrade you can do to any computer. (3d gaming not included). 7 second boot time, 1 second logins, open almost unlimited applications at the same time with no load times... very noticeable. I refuse to run on a traditional HDD any more. I only use one for my "storage" I run 1 SSD for the OS/Game of choice, and 1 2TB HDD for file storage (music/movies/iso's).

They do cost more money than a traditional HDD, but I wouldn't say they are overrated. Over priced is objective. Add up all the times I'd wait 60 seconds for my PC to boot, and 30 seconds to log in vs a less than 15 second boot with applications launched and its worth it to me.

A SSD will never pay for its self in D3 though.

SSDs: overpriced and overrated. but i will gladly buy one in five years once they come down to a price worth my time

hi tool :)

improving system performance reduces loading times even more on each D3 client you idiot. A faster system = everything you run on it gets a performance boost. it's like going from dial up to cable internet as someone said. Everything you do that uses bandwidth gets performance gains. Same goes for a faster system meaning more "GPH". toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

If you could make more GPH on a 486 vs an Ivy bridge would you use the 486??? Hi TOOL :)

486DX of course fak a SX

Love when people call others idiots. I'm actually pretty good with puters lulzsec.

Thats because you AMD athlon prob only has a 512mb cache level 2, Which means u have like 1mb cache compaired to people like myself who has 8MB cpu cache. not to mention your graphics card is very low powered, no one uses ddr ram anymore, it would cost you more money to buy a ddr stick then to buy 4gigs of ddr3. 5400rpm = wtfslow.

You're PC is like 10+ years old right? Time to upgrade bro..

I have a AMD 8 Core 8120 FX-990 board, with Tri sli UD5 Top end mobo from gigabyte, GTX 460, with SSD HD. I can run around 20 Diablo 3's at once.

Untitled.webp Not to mention this might help you, Look at using other programs to scale diablo 3 smaller, this saves resources allowing you to load more.

SSD will pay for its self, I dont see how you can say that. Considering i made over 300$ in gold alone. i increase my gph, and item finding because i can do more games then any normal hdd can do in less time..

You bought 20 copies of diablo 3?

I said i can load 20 accounts, I tested using Starter Edition keys. However, If you weren't aware the reason why Blizzard made Digital copys have a 3 day grace period was beacuse of an exploit that you could use to get "Free Digital copies" and get you're money back at the same time. Not to mention you can pick up Russian CDKeys for 30$ a pop "People dont like to use them because they are locked to RU Language, However you can change the Packet to make it bypass that restriction and have it load in English."

People with the knowledge profit ^_^;;

Oh nice.So that's why they added the (trial period) thing.

Ew ... I am disgusted by what you just said. You probably thought what you were saying was smart and reasonable or something didn't you ? Some human beings need to be put down like animals.
