Tip on how to boost your GPH with 100-200k...

Could probably boost my GPH with 100k on laptop, since they're kinda slow. Concidering to do it.

yep, SSD's are great for running 7-10 bots as I do. I use a Crucial 128GB M4 and I do notice the difference for sure from a 7200 RPM hard drive. So many people act like they know what their talking about yet they haven't even tested the differences in performance vs typical mechanical hard drive to SSD. The guy who said SSD's are over rated is an idiot. an SSD is a great investment and I been selling off my WD raptors ever since I switched to SSD. The only time I buy 7200 RPM normal drives is for storage on my server tower.

no need to bash SSD's just because you can't afford them or feel that you don't need them. if you're happy with what you got then good for you. No need to come on here and pretend that you know what you speak of. Good to hear the OP has an increase in GPH using ssd. It's very possible!

do i need to have OS installed on SSD? or just diablo on ssd? I know having both of them on one same SSD would obviously be the fastest, but is it okay to have my os installed on reg HD and have diablo on SSD and still enjoy the speed of SSD?

SSDs: overpriced and overrated. but i will gladly buy one in five years once they come down to a price worth my time

lol what year are you in?

Amazon.com: Crucial 128 GB m4 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive SATA 6Gb/s CT128M4SSD2: Electronics

Under a $1 a gig. Plus it is one of the higher rated SSD's.

I run 2 Samsung 830 128gb with Raid 0. Speed when loading Battlefield 3 is like going from 56K phone modem to cable internet.

With the post saying it will raise you 100K per hour... not so much. D3 is made for shitty computers, so you wont see much difference.

Just keep the Diablo 3 copies on your SSD and you should be fine. Your OS might run shitty though and could bottle neck the SSD but not by much. I use a 40GB SSD for my OS and then a 128GB SSD for the diablo 3 clients. All works very well.

Yea but increasing the overall performance of his computer can save him a few seconds of loading times per run, and even a few seconds can make a difference. SSD's do not only affect loading times of games, but also the system performance.

tomorow i receive my 60 gb ssd.
what do you think guys how many d3 copies for these 60 gb? should i left some space for performance?

im install. os on normal hdd and d3 only on ssd

Three bots now done between 400-500 runs each and my avg GPH jumped with 200-250k (to 500-550k). That's almost a doubling compared to my old 7200 rpm HDD (~300k GPH). The only thing that i changed in my computer was a new install of OS on the new SSD and all the D3's on the SSD, nothing else. I'm just waiting to be able to run 3 more bots on the SSD when DB is patched for US and check how it impacts my GPH.

So i can't see anything else but "win win" when buying a SSD.

Didn't read all the responses, just gonna call bullshit on the OP. I switched to ssd a week ago and it did boost my gph a little, but by no means 100-200k, was rather 20-40k. /thread

20-40k per d3 client is a lot....imagine if you bot 25-30 clients? thats about an extra 1.2 million per hour.

Who cares about system performance? It's all about GPH.

yeah but is anybody doing that many clients??? with how shitty the gold market is on D3....

$1 per million, hell even .50c per million is still profitable with that many clients. keep in mind....minimum gold price for RMAH is going to be $2.5 per million, you really think many casual players are going to be outsourcing the RMAH and going to the black market and risking charge backs, etc to save a little money for a lot more hassle? I doubt it....even if they do and it drops to .50c per million do the math, its a lot of money still. $100 per day for doing nothing @ .50c per mill. thats still $3k per month minus electricity costs @ $100 and internet cost @ $65 you are still profiting about $2,800 PER MONTH off a game.

intial investment costs will be paid off in a little over a month....then from there on out unless you get banned its all profit.

yeah funny. you have the money to buy 20 d3 accounts?

thats the same when i say with 100 accounts you can earn 10000 $ money and more oh well..

all it takes is time bro, we have to see if demonbuddy will still be around after court date.

I get $8k back on income tax, I will be dumping $3-4k into this if gold prices stay profitable, np cause I will make the money back easy and making a living sitting on my ass at home.

hi tool :)

improving system performance reduces loading times even more on each D3 client you idiot. A faster system = everything you run on it gets a performance boost. it's like going from dial up to cable internet as someone said. Everything you do that uses bandwidth gets performance gains. Same goes for a faster system meaning more "GPH". toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

i already do it on ssd (have 2x 256gig) and i have 3 d3 bot copies running the other one (slower than my main). very fast indeed. :)

Let me take a baseball bat and smash your face with it ? :)

settle down now. no need to get ugly
