Extended Botting = BAN ??

Blizzard has two automated detection mechanisms. One is Warden which detects known public bots. The other one is server-side data-mining which determines whether a player is behaving like a bot by analyzing variables like hours played per day, number of quests done, party/guild interaction, etc etc.

So basically if you use ur bot for like 10 hours a day, you get flagged and will get banned soon?

Please, do not post things like this without ANY proof or references. Like the 3 pages of posts say, people have been botting all day, every day, since release of bots, and even though there was a banwave, it was mainly banning people that abused dupe bugs/economy exploits. I've botted everyday in Diablo 3 and WoW, and have yet to be banned, except on one account, that I used to dump everything on the AH. Stop spreading your lies without proof.

There's a difference between proving that Warden exists and trying to explain how Blizzard ban system works.
Playing a lot won't flag you, I often bot more than 48h in WoW and 24h in D3 (The bot plays during the night, I play during the day) and I was never banned.

How could you even know that they flag you if you play a lot?

You sound like the kids boting for the first time and asking "is it detected???" "if i bot a lot will i be ban??" or "whats the best class to bot lol??"

I wasn't 100% sure hence the use of question marks in the thread title and original post

Give us proof, seriously anyone can pull info like this out of their arse if they want. Prooving it is another matter.
