Draconian Buddy-DRM security makes Demonbuddy terrible

Since release now we've been plagued with pathing server issues because all the pathing is handled serverside. I would understand if it's actual technical issues, but the only reason Buddyteam insists on keeping it serverside instead of clientside is obviously as a protection against piracy.

I could even accept this reason, except pathing and the servers is so fubar it's unplayable (or I should say un afk-able). This serverside pathing has been severely crippling the functionality of the bot for everyone.

Come on, I understand if Buddyteam turbo-shits all over their pants in all colors of the rainbow at any thought of piracy, but there's a point where you just have to give that hardcore draconian protection model up and accept that you can not provide the server quality that is necessary for server side pathing in this bot.

Clientside pathing is a must, or this bot will never run smooth. Just imagine, the number of Demonbuddy users will only grow more. How are these shit servers ever gonna cope with that?

TBH, this is becoming pretty much a Ubisoft story, and we all know how dictator-like DRM faired for their reputation.

Yeah, just make it simpler please. Use only server check for the serial and thats it.

Couldnt of said it better myself. Just to let everyone know you have a 7 day refund period, and I am highly considering using mine unless they resolve their server issues. This is unacceptable and I don't think it will ever be working to our standards unless they move clientside.
 
You can always use multiple server checks for it if b/w on server 1 is > x use server 2 etc The latest fix has actually helped pathing a ton.

I'm actually thinking of refunding just because of this, it really is unacceptable.
 
No way they did this for piracy NOOO WAY. If you can ***** it you can write the server to host the pathing or change it to client side.

That is up to the buddyteam to find the best solution. But pathing serversided... fuking rly?.. I am afraid I have to make use of the refund option while it lasts.

Honorbuddy does the same and runs great for easily 95% of all customers. (Only regarding Nav/Tiles)

They do it like this since forever and do NOT have a DRM reputation or whatever, complete bullshit.
 
If they're going to make something server sided, they should make something that isn't as crucial, because having good pathing speed is crucial for farming. They have to think of another feature that they can make server-sided.

You use multiple pathing servers is what I'm saying. When you start DB it checks the load on the server sand picks the lowest one for you to use. 1 server for as many people using it now isn't gonna work.

Some free bot I used has literally 0 delay, it rapes so hard. Starts the game, teleports 3 time (wormhole rune with wizard) and exits the game instantly without delay if the sarkoth cellar isnt there. If it's there it runs towards the cellar with zero delay and rapes it.

I can understand that it would feel smooth for a slow 3D game like WoW. But Diablo 3 is a fastpaced hack n slash game, every second of delay is very noticeable.

Updates are publicly released daily, I'm assuming if something has been pirated its been the session key. Hopefully this is not the case though.

HB only connects to the servers if it doesn't have the required mesh files in the HD. Once you have that, it's entirely client sided.
And you must have never read any bug reports of people spending 20 mins trying to download meshes from their server...

I don't know if piracy protection is the real reason for this, but this issue is certainly not new.

Now they are. In 2 months they won't be.
Again, I don't know if this is their form of DRM, but if it is, then they were thinking long term.

Doubt that one. If it works how it should it stores your key in a database when you log on it checks your key against that database and approves your log on. They would have to remove the key requirement and code there own pathing server right now or convert it to client side pathing.
