Update To Pathing Incoming?

sadly, the bot in its current state takes awhile to generate paths.....

Hawker, are you planning on updating the pathing servers speed or making pathing done client side?

Any news on an update to pathing/navigation issues would be great!

pathing at the moment is taking 15-20 secs per waypoint...... this is very very slow :(
 
It is slow, I'm currently idling for about 20 seconds a game during Sarkoth runs. I'm sure it will be fixed though.

Apoc is doing a new pathing server today. You should see a big improvement in the release later tonight.
 
Not sure how this is an arguement to "This is slow as hell, fix it"

So if it server side it allways be delayed, no matter how fast server will be, lets assume that pathing server is in germany and you live in USA so on start you got 200-300ms of delay + server calculation and you get about 1second delay. The only option with no delay is client-side, done on your PC, but it wont gonna happend.

The bots way of doing movement.

Ah, OK. Here is the thing. Can the bot be made like when it opens a stash to wait for 1 second more before going on its way then come back to pick the gold? This is really time consuming.

I guess it can, but whether it will, that's for the devs to decide. It's a good idea tho.
 
Make some pathing client side. Preferably all of it but if you can't/don't want to then a certain portion should be client side. I am thinking things that are not dynamic/change every game. Those should be in the client pc so as not to waste time. If something is dynamic then have it server side (if you must).
