For wizards who are not aware, when a celestial arcane orb passes through an enemy it deals damage, and if it hits a wall (or times out) it will explode dealing damage again; this essentially doubles the damage done by a celestial arcane orb. For some reason, DemonBuddy is able to fire off arcane orbs and detonates them after they have passes through their targets (impossible in normal game play). The same is true for lasers, for example, disintegrate or archon laser, will not pierce enemies, simply terminating at their targets, greatly reducing the effectiveness of these two spells.

Basically, this is impossible for a player to execute as far as I'm concerned, and I'm not sure if it was intended by the buddy team. Regardless, in one scenario it doubles the arcane orb damage so I recommend fellow wizards to take advantage of this. And on the otherhand, this makes spells like archon and disintegrate much less effective since they do not pierce, and therefore is a bug.

I think it has something to do with attacks aiming at the feet of the target instead of their chest like it would playing normally. You can easily tell when using DH attacks. Since it isn't able to be done legitimately I hope they can't detect this server side and ban for it.

THIS makes me worried. Big time.

Wow, I just read what you said and instantly went to check out my bot. I carefully examined the celestial orb shots, and you're right.. the orbs seem to pass by a enemy and explode right after without even timing out or hitting some sort of wall. Interesting...

Diablo 3 is a 3D world and does use real vectors with the projectiles.

You can tell when you shoot at enemies on a higher path than you. It may hit them, it may hit on the wall between.

The fact that Demonbuddy shoots at the feet may be bad, but I doubt it.

I would love some feedback from a dev whether or not aiming at feet should be happening, they may not know that it is doing this.

I noticed the same thing on electrocute (with the rune that makes it pierce). Playing normally it goes through mobs and hits lots of creatures.... bot it terminates at the closest mob.

It aims at the feet, it's what the bot does, there is no way yours doesn't. That's like saying mine shits rainbows when no one elses does.

That's exactly what mine does, a 9 colored one.. how about that.

I lol'ed.... but yeah. it's true. thats just what the bot does... unless somehow it varies between CCs (generic vs behlgor) but i doubt it. I see it with generic. as the all in one was pretty terrible for wizard

I'll gladly fraps it for you if you are so retarded.

Wild guess: Something to do with what kind of spell casting you use in your CC?

Playing a wizard, too and can confirm this issue. If there is a spider my wizards "spams" arcane orbs toward its direction but when the spider dies after 1 orb, the rest of the orbs which are still flying are detonating at the position where the spider was instead of flying along the way up to their max-ranged detonation or until they hit an other spider

What spells are you using? He clearly stated it affects laser type spells that go through multiple mobs. and orbs. Make your primary attack electrocute with the piercing (i think?) rune that makes it go through mobs... it will always stop at the first creature its attacking and not go through and hit other creatures behind.

I do have Arcane Orb with Celestial Orb and it is flying past the mobs just fine :F
