I can't change the developer rule, but the rule can force you to give credit.

Those CCs were under the BSD license all along - nothing to do with me.

nope they are wrong, if they not leave i will have no reason to post they work, but since they delete all i must repost this for other users. developers of cc must understand thay they are not most important on this forum.

Kasia's case is an interesting study on the subjectivity of the issue. I am sure both sides will consider what he is doing as "proving them right". Devs - Someone will steal our code, see. Community - They will abandon the code and we need someone to maintain it, see.

The best idea i heard was a forum for the main CC and then subforums where everyone can post their forks. Rules on top of subforum should clearly state who the dev for the original project is and the modder should give credit in his post and code as well. If a certain fork hasn't had a number of downloads within a month (relative to the number of downloads of the original cc also for a month) then the fork should be archived.

Im not one for posting in the forums much as i have trouble writing down my views in a way that dosnt look stupid as im not very good at writing. After reading these pages i think its totally getting out of hand or to be more specific Kasia its just plane stupid the way you are going on and totally disrecptfull to all the Dev's if they choses to leave on the back of the new rules then so be it.

To be honest i think its more of knee jerk reaction and as Tony, Hawk etc have said in a few weeks when people calm down and let this play out it might be a totally diffrent situation. Unlke some members who can work on cc's and profiles i cant and i totally rely on these people doing thier great work and taking the time and effort to create the cc's profiles, plugings and of course Hb itself.

Im sorry if this is out of order me posting in the Dev section when i have no clue how to do anything like the work carried out here (too old and set in my ways to learn this) but i needed to say something from the prespective of a normal joe blogs who basically relys on Dev's and others for the great work carried out.

I'd say Bobby's work is just way too complex for people to mess with (including you). From the threads you started, I only see small modifications made on quite straight forward code.

How does a CC/Plugin Dev make sure that if he is abandoning his project from this forum, that it is not being re posted by such a retard like Kasia? (I most likely risk a ban here but its the only word I find for him)

Lets give an example:
I posted my Necrophilia - Simple and Basic back on this forum (with the intention of the new rules, its free for all, so don't worry it will stay. It's just an example).
Now the rules changed and I really DON'T want that anybody can re post my work.
How do I behave to make that sure?

Its open source development. The whole idea is that decent code doesn't die.
