Well then give us a few days to close our CCs and deem those not allowed to rip.
It's only fair, since you just posted these updates without any warning

You don't have to wait a few days. PM me the threads you want archived and they will be gone.

I think you're missing my point, I want assurance that my cc is deemed not allowed to rip, as I wasn't planning on stopping development untill you forced this rule upon us. And I don't think I'm the only developer that feels the same way.
 
While I don't completely disagree with the decision made, a heads-up would've been fair in my honest opinion. Also, it's not only the Buddy development team which is making this bot to a success .. keep in mind that CC, Plugin and profile writers are just as important as the HB developers/admins.

If the settled base of developers is completely against these kind of regulations, I'm not so sure if this is the right decision.

Do you think that Linux Torvalds gets some written assurance that no-one will rip off Linux and make a new OS called Hinux just by changing one line of code? No - he has the assurance that his reputation is such that people will prefer to use his Linix and stupid forks will crash and burn.

You have the same assurance. People do like what you do - if you are around to maintain it, no-one else will be able to get a reputation that you have and your users will stick with you. I've been doing free cc development since 2007. 4 of the top 20 Glider ccs were mine. All were copied - only one fork proved worthwhile and the rest faded into obscurity. You really do not need to be concerned about this...wait a few weeks and you will see what I mean.

Except it's only a few of them.
If there's a void to fill, the HB team will fill it somehow. Let's look at past examples:

They felt the need to make questing a priority, so they hired Kick to work full time on it.
They felt Singular needed more work, they hired HighVoltz.
The Pirox base wanted a multi-profile, HighVoltz made it.

If there's a need for something, it will be done. I'm pretty confident on that.

It takes time to develop stuff. While I agree that once someone stops, someone else will fill up the gap. But in the mean time, the Buddy users are the one who get hurt cause of the measures which caused a developer to stop.

As an example, to get the Titan Arms CC to the excellent level at which it is now, it took several months of development time. Somehow, there is always some users which will get negatively affected by this.

This does not mean that I'm against, but I do symphatize with the developers who are against this.

I know what you mean, and you're right, but you're not gonna be left out of botting if there's no Mapgen (I've never used anything made by Swiny and I still have millions of gold), or if a CC is missing.

I'm sure Wulf could implement a Warrior rotation into CLU and be done with it.

Of course it's always good to have as many options as possible, but in the end, the world will keep on spinning and we'll keep on botting.

and we have better things to do than babysitting you all the time and handle all these reports against you


so its very simple and it doesnt need any further discussion,you have one option

Rep = Epeen. It doesn't say anything about whether or not you can be missed.
