[Discussion] Life-time keys expiring now

I FELL SCAMMED- i put my trust back then on a pruduct advertised by this page years ago..spending extra money to make it not only "lifetime key" but multiple accounts friendly just to find out this morning that keys arent worth a thing today.. i strongly think that business bad choices arent a custommer problem and changing what one day "made you earn money", as you state on your sticky note isnt just not cool....but false advertisement and somehow illegal....
anyway...i dont think boss gives a crap of our opinions cause it would have ask for them before making this decision....

actually a lifetime (10 years) was too good to be..
but at last they sould say that existing members could use it 6months more or 1 year maybe. or buy the new key(s) with a good discount..
but still I'm gonna buy another key to continue.. honestly I think that, I already got satisfied with what I paidand

and again lifetime owners should have a privilege..
 
Just amazing..

it is wonderful how corporate America works, Lets "Pull them in" with the Lifetime membership, then after a few years lets break out contract with them and change it to "two years". Sad thing is, if we tried to pull the same thing with them they would sue our butts off saying "Breach of Contract".. I don't understand why those who had "Lifetime" don't get grandfathered in and keep it, and those who didn't can no longer get it.. That is the only fair solution I see.. How is it our issue that you are getting sued, we paid you the required amount you asked for for a life time key, now you change the rules when you no longer find it affordable.. Typical corporate BS.....

...expect Bossland isn't an American company. I think it's based in Germany? But I could be wrong.


It's freaking terrible either way. I'm losing three keys to this.

Bossland is a German company...

But yeah, this will probably lose a lot of people and there will be even less profiles updated now because why would someone want to pay a yearly fee to make a product work for other people? Maybe for donations but I very much doubt the authors would get very much, maybe enough to cover a couple subs but then they are basically doing it for free.

Sinking ship and all that, it's just as well though D3 is getting long in the tooth anyway, the only people I know that still play it(4 out about 20 when it came out) play for maybe a month when an update comes out and then forget about it. Bossland would probably make more or at least extra money by offering 3 month and 6 month subs for the update players and casual players respectively.

I've been a multi license user of Honorbuddy and Demonbuddy since early 2010 and what Anonuzer01 posted is what it boils down to for me.

If Bossland and his staff had sold 1 yr keys or whatever from the beginning, I think most would understand the key repurchase or renewal. When they made their announcement in 2016 about the keys, had they been honest and said their business was not profitable or even survivable unless they started selling keys that weren't lifetime, I think a lot of people would have understood and stuck with them. They chose not to and now they are lying to everyone's face after the fact. Most long timers in here have made more money back than we paid, but at this point it's a matter of principle more than the money. Dishonesty is one thing people do not take lightly.
 
WTF you guys? how the hell are lifetime (virtually) keys expiring? i will never spend money on your products again.

I dont care about the money or anything like that but what i don't and refuse to allow a company to rip and scam there customers. In Australia we have a government agency called ACCC that you report these companys to and then the government gets involved because this is a big breach in Australia and if found guilty it can include fines from 55,000au to 5million in fines. Bossland is very lucky he isnt based here or he would be screwed.

I can feel what you guys feel now because my two (2) keys gone too. It is hurt isn't it. However, dev need food too, and Blizzard took it away from them. Thus, there will be no more "lifetime". Hate me if you want, but no more lifetime is already kicked in.

I think I am not the only person okay with Bossland on this decision.
 
So what's next ? 2 years key becoming 5 month ? Because yes, I paid for 10 years, and now it's 2 years. 80% off.

You can't sell 10 years key and after a while, say "now, it's just 2 years, f**k you all". It's illegal.

Maybe you could ask for a donation like "You can save your lifetime key for 10 euros". Still illegal, but a bit less painfull.

I paid for 10 years key, now it's 2 years, you won't make money with it, you will just have to money back my key, because what you offer now is not what I paid for. Demonbuddy is not the only bot, there is also a free one. I choose demonbuddy because looks beter, and a bigger community. But I won't pay again for a 2 years key, maybe becoming 2 month key in a while.

You need money ? Just ask for donations. People CAN donate, and will do it, if you ask for it gently. If you start solding fake thinks, you will just have to money back for people who won't accept it.

Pardon my English, but, damn, your bot is illegal in a state, okay, don't make it illegal in the world with that choice. Just go back to your choice, ask old key's owner for a donation, but you CAN'T make us pay a second time what we already bought in the past. For the last time, it's illegal.

So no, i won't pay for a second key, i will make donation if you need, because i LOVE your bots if and ONLY IF it's MY choice. For the moment, I will just go and use your opponent's bot. Which is free. Making money only by donations and beta.

It is a German non profit organization, that helps to protect the rights of the customers.

It would have been wounderfull, if customers, since 2011 would have contacted VZBZ and informed them about Blizzard insane policy on EULA/TOS. Then VZBZ could have done the same thing they did with EA in Germany...


but no wait .. our German customers are much more special, in over 25 court appointments only around 6 showed up in total, they showed the courts how much they care about our fight vs EULA/TOS

probably since 2011 not a single one has contacted VZBZ because of WOW EULA/TOS, nor a single one suggested that

feel free to go to VZBZ - you do it for the right matter

Then ask us to do so. Ask it from the demonbuddy application. Make a huge information about it. Same for donation you need because of it. But noone will want to help a company that transform lifetime --> 2 years keys. I'm sorry but i'm totally out. You are going to loose a lot of people, losing btw your community, and no new customers with that policy.
 
You seem to be a community man, let me ask this, except this post here, you seem to have 7 other posts so far, done between 28th May 2013 and today. I have not looked how many posts you did today, does not matter much.

So Mr. Community Man, may i ask you how much contribution was done by you in the past 44 months with that 7 posts ?
 
just wondering bossland will you ever bring back Lifetime keys if you guys win vs Blizzard ?

I never said that I was a community man. I'm also not a contributor for developing plugin or anythink else, maybe because I can't, maybe because I don't want to.

I'm just saying that you lose VS blizzard in Germany. By changing lifetime to two years, you will also loose in all European's countries, be because what you say you sell is not what you sell.

But thx for asking. I contribute when it's ask, for some youtubers, firefox, and wikipedia. I really think that donations work well for companies like yours, btw only if you don't lie so much to your community.

I'm maybe not a community man, but tell me, bossland, to how many people your society lie when it was selling lifetime key ? How much money did you make on that lie ? You are not the first companie that have to change this king of stuff (lifetime -> x years/month), but everyone else let the lifetime key lifetime, just not selling it anymore. You think that you will, by personnal attack like you just did, be able to tell your community "please, we lie to you once, but we won't make it again. please buy something you already bought in the past, because we ask for it. We promise, we won't change the 2 years keys for 5 month keys".

Congrats ! You have 5500+ posts here. You are more than a human.

Dear Demonbuddy owner,

As a customer I think I deserve at least 30 days notification prior the expiration of my lifetime key, which may sounds weird anyway. Or is it German culture/custom that they can do whatever they see fit and leave only 1 day of notice?

Anyway, this is the first time I saw such a big company stealing from their customer and lying about their service. Regardless of many excuses you may have, I hope you understand that this is unacceptable for customers.

I know you may have read this a thousand times. But here it is again.

You paid in full for a ten-year service, lets say to rent a room.
After two year, the landlord knock on your door and say hey, get out of here. Tomorrow I want to see you gone.

How do you feel about that? Please share with us.
