If I was to go up in grift levels, I'd increase the Min trash mob pack size.

i will try first this build with your settings and later this http://www.diablofans.com/builds/72407-2-4-arcane-torrent-twister-dmo-87-currently
i imagine dmo at/et will massively outperform this ao build once its been officially updated. its a much stronger build.
There isnt an official one, I tweaked my trinity settings and rewrote bits of the routine and I can breeze through 72 botting using it hence thinking an official and well written routine will probably outperform. in seasons 900 plvl/16.5k int/full ancient gear/lvl75 gems/70 augmentsIs there a new trinity with that build updated?
I'm also not convinced that AT/ET build will be better for botting. It's pretty hard to use effectively even for a human.
You need to clear 67 then 69 will show then you clear 69 and 71 will show...How do you set bot to run GR 72?
Adventure setting allows only upto GR67
Ok I finally registered because I felt the need to jump in on this thread to squash a couple things. Be realistic about your bot and character. While I'm not going to go as far as calling people out in this thread, there's no way this bot can farm 75+ efficiently with DMO Orb spec. It has nothing to do with your character setup and has all to do with the logic built into the bot itself. This build is heavily reliant on clustering packs effectively. The current combat logic for slow time is written in a way where clustering packs effectively is damn near impossible. If you actually watch your bot play closely you'll see what I'm talking about. Essentially the bot casts slow time on top of clusters all over the place, with some weighted logic about order of clusters. What that does is slows down the time for mobs to come to a central point, it's actually the opposite of what you want to be doing. I've tweaked a bit of the routine in mine to not look so far when casting slow time and I've seen more success at clustering bigger packs from an initial slowtime cast point. My charcacter has 830 Paragon, full ancients, pretty much all optimized stats on items, 70 gems, and 8 pieces gems. My gear is not an issue yet I can barely clear a 75 and fail from time to time. If you don't get a map with high density of elites in close proximity to each other, you're pretty much screwed. Maps like sewers and the prison maze are the worst ones you can get. I've scaled down to 71 and the fastest clear I've had was 7min 12sec.
There are other bot related issues that will prevent you from achieving better results. One of the big ones is progression globes. While increasing the search range has helped with some of that problem, I've watched instances where the bot skips globes right next to it and moves on. I suspect this has something to do with it picking up a champion pack in its search range which might have a higher weight priority over progression globes. Once you start getting past 70 GR, picking up every single globe is insanely important to making sure you complete the rift in time.
Another major issue is non-optimized dps due to spectral blade targeting. What I mean by this is that the bot has spurts where it casts spectral blade and is not in range for arcane orbs to hit it's current locked target and doesn't change unless teleport is off cooldown. While this is less of an issue in clusters of 4 or more, it's a big problem against single target and ranged mobs. I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the mob moving and the bot not picking up its current new location. Would probably need to increase the refresh rate at which target location looked up.
As long as you're doing 70-72 with some level of efficiency, I think it's a good barometer for success. Anything beyond that point with the current iteration of trinity is luck of good maps. A couple things you can do to improve, or at least helped me:
*use stricken gem instead of powerful.
*stack arcane orb damage and arcane elemental damage where you can vs area damage. The bot doesn't cluster effectively enough for you to fully maximize area damage.
As I said, the whole combat routine needs to be rewritten in order to optimize slow time placement. I've noticed if you dont get hit, it places slow time offensively and then stands outside of it which means anything above 75 and youre just going to get 1 shot because youre missing 25% dmg reduction. even completing manually GR 78 with ao is an achievement so botting it is a pretty high expectationOk I finally registered because I felt the need to jump in on this thread to squash a couple things. everything is well said thanks for your input. To be fair he said his paragon 2,000+ , look at his intelligence, its insane. Thats the only thing that will take you from GR71 in 7min, to GR78 in 13min.
and you really nailed the main issue "Be realistic about your bot and character". in other threads people are cycling between Grift and normal (out of no choice for most, others will hide keys on purpose), which means you get Pool of reflection...25% xp. Don't post your xp an hour if you got pools on. not very helpful towards which build is working most efficiently this season, just boasting on forums. only people above para 1000 are getting serious, consistent xp per hour.
