[Plugin] Trinity Fork (Kite/Avoidance)

I'm noticing the same thing. This was not present in the previous version. I'm gonna post a log in a few minutes.



I'm definitely interested in hearing the results, if you wouldn't mind.

43 cleared with default + that mod.

clearing 40's with this right now, but its a struggle sometimes.

Don't have an ancient furnace yet, rest of the gear is pretty good.
 
It still seems to alternate between FC'ing and melee swinging, on pretty much any mob. Even against elites and goblins it will sometimes just auto attack them to death while sitting on two charges (even with more than 1 enemy). Also, there's a slight (but sometimes long) FC delay when in the middle of a small pack. It'll stand still for a couple of seconds before doing anything. All in all though, it's a definite improvement (according to my Legs & XP/hr so far).

Would you agree that the FC within Trinity 2.4.2 was a more? Seemed to be a much better FC usage then.

It's tough to evaluate when there are issues that affect FC usage itself. I find that when this works, it FC's like a boss (super precise when it gets to pull multiple packs). The auto attacking, common delay, and not always utilising charges against smaller packs is what brings it down I think.

For some reason this thing isnt really working for me.
Many times he just stands around and spams "MoveToTarget" and "Waitforlootdrop" while the air ally attacks some single targets.
Another problem is that sometimes it seems like he trys to apply exploding palm to an enemy that is not close, also leading to just standing around.
Also the FPS sometimes drop.

I made a video and attached a log. (the video is the last 7 minutes of the log)

Another problem is that sometimes it seems like he trys to apply exploding palm to an enemy that is not close, also leading to just standing around.

Oh okay, author should probably remove the zip files from the initial post. :)

Edit: how to install this thing? I downloaded 0.8.1 and copied the trinity folder into plugins\trinity and then I copyied the folder trinityroutine to \routines but I deleted the \BACKUP\ folder because I was getting errors from this one. Is this correct?

Edit2: Is this made to be used with tzo krins gaze? Because sometimes he stops walking "StayPutPoint" for (seemingly) no reason

Edit3: And the "WaitForLoot" Problem is still existent in this version. Only setting trashmobpacksize to 1 fixes this

Check out this post. Install it like you normally would; replace the default Trinity folder within the Plugins folder with the new one, and copy over the Trinity.xml to the settings\Battle.net# folder).

i honestly like the good old Trinity and the way it works, the only thing i would like to steal is the fact that urs actually attacks from 9539539539 range away, can i "steal" that somehow to my current trinity? :P

0.8.3 Observations

FC is looking significantly smoother now. As far as I can tell it has none of the awkward auto attacking that was present in previous updates, and delay against small packs is notably reduced. In terms of trash clearing speed, this is a massive improvement. I also noticed that it now kites mobs when there are no charges available...unspeakably awesome.

A couple of significant bugs I've come across:

  • It sometimes spams Sprint in boss fights and doesn't FC. When this occurs both of these happen at the same time, not one or the other.
  • This is hard to describe, but it seems like kiting the RG is causing issues when the boss is not in LoS (behind a wall or door etc). The bot exhibits erratic behaviour like running back and forth along the obstruction, almost like it doesn't realise it's there.
  • There are a number of exceptions sprinkled throughout the logs, although I have no clue whether they are important or not.
  • This error came up a few times:
    [Trinity][Behavior] Fatal Error: Couldn't find a valid attack ability. Not enough resource for any abilities or all on cooldown
    This could be a coincidence, but when I first noticed this error the bot was walking back and forth on the spot, however I'm unsure if that was the cause or the result of the error, or if it was even related. I say this because I noticed the error a couple of other times but it didn't seem to have any effect in-game. I'm thinking this might be OOC Sprint, because the one time it did seem to have an effect in-game, the bot was out of Fury.

this error is due to some mobs blacklisting (ability selector return null), trinity notified it bur this isn't a big deal.
Sprint has zero change but i take a look
For the .2, maybe trinity does not recognize the boss like a boss at all and blacklist them
I've to remove this blacklisting, with the weighting check (see change log) it seem no necesary now

I tried your latest trinity now on my barb and I see some issues there. Fresh DB install and using your trinity settings.
So my build has only two damage skills, FC and Frenzy. I use frenzy for when FC is on charge. The first thing I noticed is that the bot keeps running back and forth when there's only one normal mob around. It doesn't need to use FC on that situation but could use frenzy to kill them. Looks like the bot is trying to avoid that 1 normal mob and it only continues when my follower kills it. If no follower, bot will stay there. But it kills a rare single mob with frenzy.
One other issue with FC, and I'm used to see this on all trinity (original) versions I tried before I switch to yours version, is that looks like the bot spams FC button very fast while using it, making the char to waste one charge right after the first FC hits the mobs. It's just a little short distance the char moves after using that second non desired FC which targets nothing. It happens a lot.
Also I noticed that the bot is using FC to break barrels, etc that are far from the char. It is using FC to move sometimes, even with that option disabled on trinity. Those don't happen very often.
I already related this this issue before and it stills happening. Not a big problem but here it goes. If I'm not wrong, since version 7, the bot is no longer selling the health potions on vendor anymore. On trinity settings it says to collect 0 hp potions and sell all extra potions. Looks like the bot is trying to sell them on the artisan (crafter) npc. I say that because when bot goes town to sell/salvage items, before it used to go vendor first, sell the hp potions and then go to the artisan to salvage. Now it goes direct to the artisan, salvages, then runs to the portal, don't enter on it, goes back once more to artisan, tries to sell/salvage and only then it enters on portal. Every time I check the bags there are 200+ hp potions there.
I'll keep watching bot and let you know if I find anything else.

I would have to say I love this trinity version so much. Thank you Buddyme and all contributors your work is as perfect as usual.

Just wondering if there's any plan of modding QT in the near future? The pathing is not very perfect and it'sf the main course of inefficient botting.
