Account Action: 6-Month Suspension

Another suspension... please don't give me crap about how I did something wrong.

I am healthy paranoid.
I do not leave any AFK bots running, ever.
I do not run it for long hours.
The only measure I don't take is VPN usage.
The only time ive even used HB in the last 5-6 months was in Highmaul Raids + Enyo + Leaves CR

AND I have a fully paid for version of HB. For the idiots that keep blaming this on people with crked copies...

This WAS a detection. NOTplayer reports... I have only used HB while raiding with my own guildies. I make damn sure I don't look like or act like a bot. I do most of my play manually, but use Leaves to take care of the boring parts of my rotation. I also make sure to tune it down so that I am not always topping the healing meters. My guild is not very good so after the 20th pull... well, you get it.

I was however online raiding that Wednesday night (on my main account) of the last Tripwire event.

Now... all that being said....

This isn't going to stop me, I understood the risk.
I am NOT upset with HB or its Devs.

They make an amazing product.

I knew it was only a matter of time.

As a matter of fact... right after I read the email from Blizz and sent off my appeal... I logged into D3 and started Demonbuddy.

Everyone please stop pretending that we can't be detected... that's just stupid. If you can't afford to lose your account... don't bot. Period. I'm actually relieved because WoW is boring me to tears right now, but after 6 months... ill be ready to play again i'm sure.

Everyone, good luck. I love this community. I am not going anywhere,and I look forward to all the awesome shit you guys turn out while I take my mandatory break. Ill make sure to try it all out when I get back!

This is NOT a banwave, but it looks like whatever tripped the tripwire event DID detect HB. There is no arguing that. The devs/mods can pretend all day that HB isnt detected, but thats just stupid. Its safe to say that anyone that was online durring the tripwire event running a fast CR was detected by whatever they did.

Look, I get it from a marketing perspective. I understand wanting to keep everyone calm, and not yell fire in a crowded theater, but a spade is a spade. The number of people who got the same exact suspension doing the same thing at the same time... please stop insulting our intellect. People who bot are going to understand. We are not going to just stop. Being honest about it will mean much more to everyone than this obvious company line BS. I really love this community and its devs, and all the people who put so much time/effort into creating CRs & Plugins, of which I have purchased many.

I am not new to the bot, just new to asking questions. I have never tried to use the bot for AH automation until this week and I am loving it except for one small drawback that I need to find a workaround for. I have a small group of glyph sellers on my server that I have "joined forces" with over the last 3 years... we have a long term standing whitelist using TSM. Is there a way for AHBuddy to whitelist other players so I dont undercut them when posting glyphs?

Now while I can't say for certain that it contributed, it IS a form of AFK botting which you stated here you never did. The Enyo developers have already updated their botbase in case Enyo might have been a culprit, but my other question to you would be did you have any of the following active for any number of seconds/minutes/raids, etc.

1. Garrison botbase/plugins
2. Enyo Chat Output or Enyo Click to Move enabled

This very well could have been what got you flagged then. That's been a major denominator in a lot of the ban reports, and many people have noticed across the threads. Keep in mind that when Blizzard did the massive PQR banwave in Jan. 2014, they were giving accounts of bot activity back 6 and 7 months to justify the perma bans. That was documented all over Ownedcore, so I wouldn't be surprised if you got yourself flagged by the GarrisonBuddy thing even as far back as December. Just a theory, but all it takes is activating it. Something to consider.

I've had 3 accounts running since early in Mists of Pandaria, they farm 24/7 AFK, and they were online during the Tripwire event recently. They have never received any action. I've had other accounts get suspended for 3 days in this same time frame.

What does this information tell your tinfoil hat?

No, none of them have a clue, as I barely use it for more than support. I still play. Im not just sitting there watching, and I dont stick out in any way. At all.

What would make more sense is that it has to do with the fast CR imput over a set amount of time. AFK bot bases also imput movements and looks more life like to a computer with pauses than full on 700billion apm (joke) for 10 minutes at a time.

OP was raiding when tripwire went off... and thinks it's a detection? Also doesn't seem to be aware timezones exist. Anyone who was even remotely aware of tripwire in your guild would've been reporting you.

sorry 2 hear that u dont have frends and ppl who u raid with will report u asap
but rest of us usualy raid with frends or semi frends so we dont expect report even if they know we bot and if somone knew about tripwire they usualy bot themselfs so eny repor = backfire

exactly this.

all this blaming on the tripwire event comes in handy but is so far off, i can't read it anymore. or people reporting... dear god.

also, people have been reporting bots like crazy ever, especially during the past 12 months. player reports alone will definitely not cause such a significant banwave (and yes, it is a banwave. no matter if people like it or not.) always keep in mind that the last persons to admit to a banwave or to admit that there might be something to detect you will be the honorbuddy stuff. seriously, grow up and stop being naive. this is how they earn their money. they will not tell you that something is going on until it's too late. it's been like that with EVERY bot in the past, with every massive banwave. people can't be that stupid, really.

people don't get that - at this point - it's obviously about the region.

i use garrison butler as well, but on an EU account, and didnt get a ban.

but there were close to zero bans on EU so far, the bans are almost only on US servers.

so it's not helpful if someone on an EU account says he didn't get a ban. good morning people - almost no one on EU received a ban so far. this is about US accounts, they obviously focus on that region first.

I too only use CR during raid. I even log off for the day afterwords, and only login to manually collect my garrison missions.

I am not banned.
Difference between you and I? I have never touched anything outside of the CR+enyo. Ever. In my life with HB, I have never touched any lvling, garrison, gathering, or any other profile/botbase besides A CR & Enyo.
I don't use chatoutputs, click to move it ALWAYS off, and the CR only hits a maximum of 4 buttons in my rotation. I hit everything else.

dont care if you using garrison shit or just cr, some ppl exp bans just after pressing hb button, so who know the problem is. US is just like sandbox for Blizz with testing their new methods
Problem is they are killing their own game. For me its ok to deal with all this pvp shit, cuz its all about competition between ppl and by cheating you got more rating etc, but grinding and pve is absurd, you still on big luck of drop, still need to roll for some pve loot and can help stupid lfr people to complete runs much faster

That pretty much explains why they are banning on US servers first. EU will follow, pretty sure.
