This is correct, demo does pull slightly higher numbers if you are geared for that spec but as you get more raid gear destro pulls ahead so I am sticking to destro at the moment, the only fight I am not using destro on is Tectus, I tried it and got a bunch of mists debuffs in a row and ended up not doing any dps allot of the fight.
 
does the MF + Seed combo still work on affli pvp aoe? Or is it better to put on a high number for Massive AoE so it does not trigger? And any other tips for BG affli settings and spec?

Well simcraft shows at 630ilvl demo ahead on the numbers but at 665ilvl and 695ilvl affliction is on top not destro.

Yeah I said that in a earlier post, I was talking about destro/demo, demo pulls ahead right now, but with some raid gear destro takes over demo, but as I said if you look at the earlier post I made I said affli does become top once you got some gear.

The point I was trying to make is that even though demo is ahead right now I see no point in gearing for it as it falls behind quite fast, I am personally running destro with affli offspec.

If you are looking st simcraft to determine what spec is better, just don't, simply don't. Simcraft is standing stil nuke no damage avoinding no moving no notheing else. In every fight you have to move, and on all fights except for butcher you have to multidot. Destro doesn't multidot well and only fights where it's good is wher you have 6+ adds when it can effectively use AoE to not loose embers. Other thing is that Demo is not designed well in simcraft if you sim yourself with 2-3-4-5-6 targets. Simcraft uses Doom only on 1 target even if you specify 1425622465234 targets. Now imagine what doom does on 3-4 targets and how many imps you get + fury generation from corruption+imps. Not even going to mention HoG or CW.

Take all that in calculation and then tell me about spec/gear scaling. :D

While I agree with you about simcraft vs actual results, on fights where there is not too much movement I have got best results with Destro, although next week's raids I might try out demo as a offspec because there are some fights (e.g Tectus) that destro just can't perform well in. I did try out Demo on brackenspore, the dps was not terrible but I was getting beat by a destro lock who I normally do higher dps than.

I have changed some things since then so I might get better results, but for now I only have heroics to test in which is not a good test, I will take demo as a offspec and try that again on movement based fights and see how it goes.
 
One follow up question regarding Demo, for people who are having success with it:

How do you deal with AoE? When the bot starts casting hellfire/immolation aura do you just jump into melee?

if 6-7 targets yes, otherwise depending on fight I use HoG only and immo on 8+

Ah ok, that makes sense, so set high unit AoE at about 8, it was set at 5 before so especially in heroics I was having to jump into melee allot.

Arent most if not all player interupts instant cast........how exactly can this be coded? Mind reading?
 
There are many profiles built with that, I do not understand why this does not.
It's the only thing missing to be a top1 profile
 
Hey Millz,

I was running some normal yesterday and went trough the logs to see where there was room for Improvement. And I noticed that Immolation uptime is VERY low. Some tries all the way down to 60%. So I decided to just get together a quick log for you today. The log and screenie is from 4 tries at Butcher HC. I think the problem is that the CR prioitize Incenerate when we got Backdraft, but it should be able to refresh Immo eventough. On the Butcher tries the uptime would have been lower, but I had to manually refresh the last try and landed on 97% on that try.

can anyone post a screen shot of the settings they use for destro plz im really new with this caster and need some advice or is just using the auto settings pve good enough

I post this issue too. Immolate refresh is way to slow
