This quest: Pei-Back - Quest - World of Warcraft

For me (Guardian Druid) was not able to be completed. The objective of the quest is to kill the colossus, but that can only be done if your body is clicked after it is "snatched". This maybe difficult as it seems random as to where the boss guy (Shan Jitong) pulls you from.

Also this quest: A Poor Grasp of the Basics - Quest - World of Warcraft was unable to be picked up (86-87 Valley of the Four Winds)
Because the NPC (Muno the Farmhand - NPC - World of Warcraft) occasionally disappears while fighting some of the mobs in the area.
This caused the bot to stop, my account to go inactive and log out. I didn't attach log of this one, but I accepted the quest, restarted the bot and it worked fine.

Final update to this post - was able from 85-90 today with only the errors posted above. The bot continued to do quests for another hour or so, but I stopped it as I don't need to keep doing them.

Hi again, ArmyDr,

  1. I can't see anything wrong with the profile or a problem in the log.
    We'll have to get a toon into the area and try to replicate the problem.

  2. I've seen this 'winking in and out' you describe, and believe it to be a WoWserver issue.
    This seems to be especially a problem in the Valley of Four Winds, because that zone is very heavily 'phased'.
    There is nothing we can do to work around this issue. Literally, the WoWserver says "here's the NPC", then says "you're not in the right phase to see this NPC".

Keep getting this error;
Bot stopping! Reason: Could not create 'CurrentBehavior' in quest bot; an exception was thrown: Could not create Quest Hotspots. Place a Quest Override

attached is log.

Im also using this from the buddystore (not sure if that helps)

Hey Kick,

How far into the questline will I have to do manually before it fixes? ... I tried doing it manually tonight, and I just kept going on and on to the point where I dropped all the quests in my log and decided to just do some PvP. I will either wait till the new stuff is implemented or there is a way to force skip that part. I seriously HATE questing. lol

Any feedback would be great. :)

Talador is being developed right now. So anything passed 94 will have to be by hand for the next week or 2. 90-94 may have been pretty breezy, but it took a long time to actually develop :(

I was actually referring to what is before 94. For all the people who chose Lumbermill... how far into it do we have to go before it fixes itself?
 
The State of WoD (90-100) questing...

Once again, Bossland GmbH is expanding your Honorbuddy value by providing a new 90-100 questing profile pack. This expansion comes at no additional cost to you.​

So, PLEASE:
  • Do NOT open new threads regarding problems regarding the 90-100 profiles.
  • Do NOT open Support forum threads regarding the the 90-100 profiles.
We will not be 'supporting' the profiles until they have been completed.

[size=+1]So, when will it be done?[/size]
The profile pack is already half-a-million lines of XML code. The size of this project is larger than the average programmer will see in a single project in their entire career. The additional profiles required to move from 90-100 will increase the existing profile pack's size by roughly 30%. Things that have to be completed:
  • The profiles must be stop/start friendly.
  • As always, the profiles have to deal with phasing issues
  • The addition of Garrisons and similar means the profiles now have to deal with 'branching' choices
  • Many new quest behaviors remain to be written to support the profiles
  • etc
For the next few weeks, the WoWserver queue times will be ridiculous, from 15mins to several hours based on realm and time of day. This affects us, as much as it affects anyone else.

Realistically, it will probably be three to six months before a smoothly running questing profile pack will be available for both Alliance and Horde.​

[size=+1]Why didn't you write all the quest profiles during the WoD Beta?[/size]
VERY much effort was placed into developing the profiles during the Beta phase of WoD. But the situation can best be described as "one step forward, two steps back". Here's the kinds of things that were encountered.

  • Much of the time, the WoWclient Beta was updated on a daily basis.
    This means profile development was offline for the several hours it took to align Honorbuddy with the latest WoWclient Beta. The 'good stretches' were when the WoWclient was patched every other day.

  • Betas were regularly 'reset'.
    This means all the effort you went through to get you toon to 94 was lost, because the toon had to be re-created at 90 and start over.

  • Betas are... well... Beta
    Many, many bugs. Trying to determine if "this is how its supposed to work", to "this is an outright bug", to "let's see if we can work around it, because this one's not likely to get fixed". Quest givers didn't give quests. Certain choices locked out other alternatives, so there are many (buggy) paths to figure out.
    As we've seen at the WoD formal release, many of the game world bugs are still not repaired.
Since the Release, Bliz has continued to make changes from the Beta.​

  • The profile pack is being based on a well-known strategy guide known for optimal solutions.
    Over time, this will go stale as Bliz bumps experience, and changes things around as they always do. But, at least it got off to a good start.

  • For now, many of the 'decision tree' choices are 'picking a side'.
    For instance,
    "if you don't choose arena at the beginning of gorgrond (and choose the logging camp), you're going to have to do those manually until i get around to scripting them in the next couple of days."​
    and
    "For Talador - i'm using the sanctum (the button on the right).
    If you do not use the sanctum, you'll have to do those quests manually. "    ​

  • Alliance is AFKably-complete through level 94 (Talador).

  • Horde is not started yet.
    But, all is not lost as another third-party developer has been creating the Horde side during the beta phase. These should tide you over until the Horde side of this pack completes.

[size=+1]Summary[/size]
Kick is securely locked in his lair. We slide one and a half boxes of Twinkies, and a freshly-pressed cape under the door on a daily basis. Occasionally, we hear much swearing and we cower in fear.

Rest assured he is on the job, and the 90-100 will be available "Soon™".

If you bump into a problem, you will need to quest by hand. The profile pack may or may not 'fix itself'. We feel a profile pack that gets one faction to 94 on release day was an excellent achievement.

We are locking this thread for a while, until things settle out on the WoWserver side. We are completely aware of the bugs and incompleteness in the 90-100 extensions. If you have problems, you will need to do the quests by hand, or simply find another means to level to 100.

Ally SMV & Gorgrond are mostly /afk. Once I get a priority target type of behavior built and a Get out of fire hook built - then all but a couple of vehicle quests are pretty much /afk.

NOTES: If you were stuck picking up / turning a quest that was there in Gorgrond at Highpass - It was due to Rangari Jonaa not being spawned properly by blizz (or the phasing out of Jonaa to be more specific)
If you pick the lumber mill in Gorgrond instead of the Arena, you get the enjoyment of manually questing a good part of the zone.
If you pick the ??? in Talador instead of the Arcan Sanctum, you get the enjoyment of manually questing a good part of the zone.

I will have branches for Lumber Mill and the other other one in Talador after I get to 100 for ally. Sorry, but that is the way it is.

Horde:
You are getting the short end of the stick, I'll develop y'alls after I get Ally and Ally's second branch developed.

Other:
If someone wants to help out and mod my ally profile and flip it over to horde change it to horde quests (even pickup / turnin and objectives with 1000 userdialogs for stuff u don't know will help - include quest overrides so that I don't have to hunt hotspots), that's fine. I saw someone started doing it up to the Horde Garrison in SMV. The hardest part of developing is setting everything up.

If someone wants to take my ally profiles and add in the lumber mill questline and the non-sanctum questline in talador, that's fine too. I welcome any bored coders.

If someone wants to get me a list of vendors and mailboxes, that would be great, too. For every zone and faction. I forget about them a lot.

I still need to add force vendor's to the profiles, to make sure we don't fly into an area and have to hike back because we have 3 spots available and 20% durability

  • FPs don't work, or don't work properly (not a kick's issue, but we know)
  • Terrain issues (i know, use the mesh thread and report it. make sure you include the hotspots and screenshots and a clear description of the issue)

Give me time, I'm only one guy. Yes, others are also developing profiles ... but I was the first, it's easy to view a working solution and base something off of it. It's hard and tedious to develop from scratch w/o any basis at all.
