It's difficult to answer.
The way i play it is kinda the greater rift way, you're only there to:
1. Drop sentries
2. Dodge shit on the ground etc...
Basically, if you're not dropping sentries, your're not really standing somewhere safe since you have to stay in range for your sentries to shoot, but you're not doing anything else then dodging.
The only exception is for those using Calamity because in that case it becomes:
1. Drop sentries
2. Multishot once or twice in aoe packs to apply Marked for Death from the Calamity on everything OR, elemental Arrow on single target but then again, once or twice, that's it.
3. Dodge shit on the ground etc...
Edit: Obviously if you have Kridershot equipped or any other item that changes a spender into a builder, you can spam it but then, you risk taking damage.
Back on the issues with the current Trinity/QuestTools, i don't understand what could have happened, with previous versions, the DH movements were fluids, now it almost looks like it's lagging when it's not, dancing back and forth, going to melee range, etc etc, it's really hard to describe, i'd almost have to make a video of it lol
