Will you continue to bot after the announcement?

I'll agree to some of you're. Botting is shure unsafe. but... 100% afk botting is for sure a lot more unsafe. Especially if u do it in PvP / (PvE, "PvP" dungons)
Go "Lazy" or tyrel.
I'll bet it's a lot safer then 100% afk.
Another thing. Dont "stand still" in a major town with the bot open.
Course you will stand in afk 10 times longer without getting logt out.

In other words. Act like the others... Safer ;)
 
I don't know. A bit scared of the announcement from the Devs.

I am using the bot only for Combat Routines.

I think i'll wait a few Days. Maybe the Devs do know more then.
 
im just going to use my level 85 battlechest farmers. not going to touch my 90s for a while. if i lose my 85's its really not a big loss. can be replaced in a matter of days.

I guess you could say it's a given, but I didn't realise a huge change like this (since 3 years) could come just days after I buy a lifetime membership.

Speculation at best. We still don't even know what they changed. It is and always had been a game of cat and mouse. Unless Blizz hired the guys from Trion, I would imagine we are still safe!
 
I just kept Lazyraider for dps cycle. I feel safe because I am present.

Actually with the PQR banwave it seems that's were Blizzard's attention is at; people using it for combat routines etc, so not sure how you assume that's safer?
 
Still getting the warning that tripwire is active... How can I use honorbuddy again?

I thought the same way, and then i thougt about PQR.

Does anybody know, how thex did detect PQR, and if it is possible that they can do it the same way with HB?
 
I have about 2 days left on my level 85 battlechest farmers so I will continue to bot until the wheels fall off, so to speak.

surprisingly they have been going 4 days 24/7 before tripwire activated and no suspensions yet (farming instances).
 
I'm unsure, I bot on my main account of 8 years as I'm not really a farmer or make gold but use mostly for combat routines and dungeonbuddy. If I did get banned, either due to the tripwire or something later on then that would be it for me, WOW is a timesink and losing my account may be a blessing.

i still havn't heard anything from the other bot deverlopers regarding warden, did you?
 
If I get banned I'll just get a new IP and say I was hacked.
 
Its funny, maybe 3 days ago I finally made the decison of getting Honorbuddy and what do you know with my luck a patch comes out that makes it easier to find botters lol FML

Same here. I've botted for years with various bots (since TBC), and PQR got me my first ever 72hr.

With the devs saying it might take them a while to figure this one out, I have no problem doing stuff by hand for a little bit... or having some fun on my alternate accounts :P
 
I don't know. Even monitoring the ban forum might not be effective since they could just wait some more weeks to actually ban us. I don't think they would be so stupid to ban people right away and warn the others.
I think I might stay off my accounts and just do the occasional dungeon/lfr by hand so that I don't go completely inactive on them.
I think I'm finally gonna try out the 5 bot dungeon setup. You can do it with cheap battlechests and those should pay back quickly, but I wont risk loosing my geared botting accounts and my shuffling accounts that all have professions and such.

When you're un "lazy" you're there.
I'll bet alot of the spotlight comes from other players. (Reports)
A "holy wow player" sees a lvl 90 player running in cerkels and into the wall 30 times insted of using the dore 1 step to the left.. That attracks some fokus.

You are dooing bg. 1 dude is back when all others leve the base. after that. that dude runs in direct into the enemy. (Detect biggest fight)
Then the other pleyers get mad. text you. But... No answer.

That is what i men with. lazy is safer then 100% afk.
 
So, are the bots ready to play on EU right now or is there still updating going on as I see everybody talking about botting once again, I know US servers are down but what about the EU ones which are down tomorrow, my question is, is the bot up now and ready to play cause I'm still getting tripwired or are the devs updating and telling us that the ban could be a higher rate kind of confused at the moment, when can I bot again.
 
I bought the last batch of 5 dollar battlechests on eu before they got rid of them. I might as well use them up since I don't plan to renew the subs.
 
Not until I get some more info. Finally so close to 1000k gold, started with farming ghost iron ore and moved on to only using professionbuddy for automatic prospecting crafting and auctionating, but I can do that manually with a bit of effort and TradeSkillMaster addon as well, so it's not worth the risk for me.
 
I have 2 Accounts - Main and Bot, I dont bot anymore for 30 days and will watch what will happen in the future. So its cheaper for me - only one account.

The update is on EU and US or?
