EZUpdater - The Plugin Updater

I keep getting the following error:

[EZUpdater] Error in EZWorker Thread:System.ARgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: path 2
  at System.IO.Path.Combine(String path 1, String path 2)
  at EZUpdater.EZUpdater.EzWorker()

Any idea what might be causing that?

Try a fresh, fresh install. Delete your EZUpdater settings, EZUpdaterStorage directory, and EZUpdater Plugin directory, and try again.

Make sure DB is Shut down.
Go to your DB folder.

1. If you have a folder named "EZUpdaterStorage" -- just delete the folder
2. in the plugins folder delete the "EZUpdater" folder as well
3. in the settings folder delete the "EZUpdater" folder as well
4. delete the old sharpsvn.dll from the root of DB folder

5.) Now Download the http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonbuddy-forum/plugins/trinity/152028-ezupdater-plugin-updater.html
6.) follow the install instructions!

Still just crashing db on startup (DB has stopped working .... windows error) when ezupdater is found in the Plugins folder.

It just makes no sense that there is no SVN made public or any other means of getting trinity .20 without ezupdater when its not working

It's still in development, people using EZUpdater are my guinea pigs.

And, the SVN IS public

Disable EZUpdater completely, the current trinity .20 has a minor bug and EZU keeps updating and maintaining the broken plugin. After you disabled EZU go to trinity .20 thread for an easy fix to get trinity working again.

excited for proper <Kind> tag support, current profile structure for me is \DB\Profiles\<profilename\<ProfileLoader>.xml
kind of silly to go into \DB\Plugins\<profilename>\<profileloader>.xml for EzUpdater updates.

I just installed EZUpdater, like in the tutorial, and first launch it deleted all my plugins !

I have uninstalled EZU, reinstall it, and no I have this :

Tried compatibility mode (Win7), tried to run as administrator but nothing. And there is nothing to copy report from because DB instantly crashes with Windows error (this application was closed bla-bla-bla).

Then don't install this plugin. go to your db folder delete folder. do a new install of db and install .20 trinity into your plugin folder.
I honestly my self run no plugins but Qtool trinity and follower. db is not the issue. it u not learning the guides and knowing. srrry bud. but simple fix. so goodluck

What do you mean not learning? Not learning for what? If there is not even a log to check other than Windows crash report which is pretty basic anyway. That mod/author just nukes messages reporting bugs? It's fresh install, fresh folder with fresh plugin. It works fine on my VM running XP SP3, but crashes DB in Win8 with Win7/XP compatibility settings. It's clearly something to do with that, no? I was just curious why that happens on Windows 8.1, I just like to keep "all in one". I guess will have to stick to manually updating from SVN.

I tried everything, run in compatibility settings, without anything, as admin, as not admin. Made super clean "install" - unzipped new beta, copied clean EZUpdater plugin folder, same thing. I even did clean install and removed Trinity/Quest plugins that are bundled with latest beta before I launched DB for the first time. No effect. But it works out of the box on VM with XP SP3. So I think it's Win8.1 being an issue here, at least for me. I run 64-bit one.

Just for shit and giggles tried to launch Demon Buddy on my Surface Pro 2 which also has Windows 8.1 Pro and runs Diablo 3 pretty well on low settings. It also crashes on that tablet. Maybe one of latest Win8 updates broke something?

After using the new EZUpdater manual "check for update" twice, both times finding new updates and ask for restart, Demonbuddy is crashing instantly on starting, even after I remove EZUpdater plugin from Plugin directory.
