is meet's rift profile gone deleted?

I would be upset too if I were you NoWayLol, but after he gave you credit, I think that should be the end of it.

It's better for the community there are more than 1 rift profile. I know you think they accomplish the same thing, but they do not. For example, some people want to leave as soon as the bot kill the boss, some people want to keep going till the whole rift is explore. Some will want to use their blood shard, some will want to do bounty in between rifts. The dream is to have ONE profile that can handle it all with no bugs or stuck, but one super profile can not handle everything without causing one bug or another.

Having different profile for specific type of rifting will be easier and better for the community. Having different choices is not a bad thing. I hope they let Meet put his profile back up so he can work on it with a different direction than NoWayLol. Will it be better or worse? We won't know unless we let him try. You both can take what each other come up with and make each of your profile better.

Hope it all works out. I just want to bot while AFK.

I did leave it at that, he gave credit. A mod didn't agree though, clearly. Also mine has 2 versions, one that clears everything, and one that leaves after boss is killed. Once I get the boss hash to kill boss every time, I will be adding another version that does Bounties to obtain 5 keys then a Rift, over and over. The fact is someone ripped the profile after a day of release, that gave me no flipping time at all to prove what I can do, or show what will come out. When I'm done, Rifter will do everything you can possibly think of. There is no reason to have 5 threads with profiles to do each unique thing when it's easy enough to take an already working profile and change it slightly to do something else, or use a different tactic.

Doesn't really matter to me who makes the profile as long as it works and I've been using NoWayLol's profile all day with it being 99.9% afkable.... not sure why everyone keeps saying it's not.
Thanks. :) <3

I think if you do not give credit at the time you publish it, it is plagiarism and should be punished. Everyone should know this from every single college classes they took, although no one give a fuck about it:rolleyes:

It wasn't a 1 to 1 plagiarism, it was modified and actually working at the time. That's how progress works actually, someone makes something unique and interesting than someone takes that idea and puts their own additions to it.

Normally? Sure. If you go and pick up a profile that's 3 months old and improve it that's awesome, especially if it isn't supported by the creator anymore. 1 day after release though? Straight messed up. For 2 weeks no one would take on this project, or take on this challenge. I did and I released my start to the project, and he poached it and claimed it as his own a day later. There is no excuse to that, or reason to do that. If you think you can make a project better that's super new, you suggest changes to the creator, or try to get involved and help out the best you can. You don't rip it and post a new thread then call it your own.

Once he added proper credit, I was semi okay with it. But still upset with the fact that it was pointless to start with and how it was handled. If he would have PMd me or posted in the thread with new ideas or ways to fix issues, I would have put them on the SVN. A mod clearly agreed with this fact and deleted his thread, there is no reason for this topic to go on really. If Meet wants to join up with me (I said I would be happy for that to happen in his last thread) then that is still 100% fine with me, we can work on Rifter together and get it working flawlessly. But this topic here really doesn't need to continue, it's going no where, and it's something a mod of the forums decided to do. It's their rules after all.

But before I leave you all, picture this; You have worked countless hours on creating something, and right before you finish someone rips it off of you, changes it slightly, and claims it as their own. Seriously think about it, and tell me if you think it's right. I think a lot of you are thinking about it in the sense of its a profile who cares, but if you put it into a different perspective you can see why it was so wrong to do from the start. In his topic I was the 3rd post claiming he stole my work, he replied to the second post (so there is no way he didn't see my post) it took over an hour for him to add credit (most likely because my post got 9 likes which was more likes then the topic itself) so he knew he couldn't keep up with the lie of saying he created it.

You are making the same bullshit argument Steve Jobs used to make for the iPhone. Was the iPhone a kick ass awesome idea? Yes. Did Android take that idea, added their own twist and make a different product? Yes.

Just as an example, I am running you Rift Core profile right now(Latest version, latest Demonbuddy, .18 Trinity. and latest QuestTools) and the bot just killed the Rift Guardian and guess what? He's running around in the same level. meet had this shit down on the first day of his release of his profile.

I am not knocking you but the two profiles might have been similar in code but in function it was totally different.

taskmanager why did you have to ask!?!? ok closed thread. we need demonbuddy wikipedia for explanation for profile tags would great help making maps.
