I'm currently at the stage with botting where I feel bereft. I came from WoWGlider -> Pirox -> HB and lost many accounts due to stupid shit along the way.

With my latest ban being from LCP I no longer feel safe botting. I don't know how to bot for gold any more, I don't know which scripts will get me flagged even with short bursts of monitored botting and I have 0 confidence AFK botting ANYTHING.

Farmer Joe, quite honestly, looks like something that would foster that confidence in me again that I developed back in WoWGlider days. If it enabled me to AFK bot even 8 hours a day and not be flagged from LCP then I would happily donate to enable its creation or even maintenance. However I would reserve my donation until I've seen it working or had proof that it would be suited to the way in which I intend to bot.
 
I have a question, which I am unsure if it has been answered. What donation amounts were/are you considering if you decide that's the route you wish to take.

Wouldn't change my stance on how I do things, but something I would appreciate if you could answer.

I don't have any expectation of amount, its a donation, the value is up to the user. And (as I have mentioned numerous times) as it is a "donation", not a payment if someone wants to use Farmer Joe and not contribute any money then so be it.

EDIT: If you are looking for a suggested value for making a donation I don't have one, but the AVERAGE value (based on all donations over the last 3 days) is $27.68.

Do you mean me? Or fpsware?

Since a donation is an optional transferral of money from party A to party B with no attached strings, he would not need to, or feel compelled to, specify an amount. What you're referring to is a payment - which I'm sure he has stated he would never ask for.

If you meant me, I would see myself willing to part with up to $20 for a good, reliable bot base that I could use to bot for long periods of time.
 
I guess I misread your thread. I took at as you wanted people to donate to get to use FJ, if it's free already, then my question is invalid as it doesn't matter.

Also, nice donation average. Shows people always support things that are worth it.

Yeah I've clarified that detail many times in this thread, but given the number of posts it can very quickly become berried.
 
I'd say I'm the vast minority, but I'd prefer it to be a subscription model or being forced to buy.

In my mind it ensures 2 things:

1. Support would (should) be good as the cost of the bot would be able to facilitate good and stable support + releases
2. The bot wouldn't be as wide spread
3. It would keep fpsware motivated to develop it and perhaps work on other things like this

But alas, I think fpsware is too generous and would rather take the gamble on receiving good donations instead of payments :P

Yes. Used FPSWare Druid in cata and it worked good. I prefer to pay for someones work, if its worth for it. The coder has more motivation and I don?t feel like a freeloader. Besides I have a job and throw money away for way more stupid things than a time saving code.

After years of using Honorbuddy I'm truly scared of ever using automated bot things again, like questing and gathering. I think I'll need one account just to test it :P
 
im only considering a donation when i know how far its different from GB and private profile
 
After seeing the videos and reading through the pages and pages of the original thread I would be happy to donate provided it works as intended and the bans do not start coming in once released.
