---===How to power lvl your alt with pet battles===---

is there a logic file for low level pets? i'm trying to level them up, but all Pokehbuddy casts is Spell1 Tier1... My pets are currently level 14, they could use at least some better spells...
 
Does it have to be the Kneebiters or can it be any level 25 pets?

Also is there a profile to farm the trolls that drop them?
 
it can't be any 25 pet. Kneebiters are prefered because if any move hits, you have 4 turns to win including a selfheal at the end. That's making these Kneebiters such effective. I tried other "Dino"-Pets of Zalari because Kneebiters weren't available in AH but thay aren't such good.

BTW: great profile. altrough I'm not getting as much as written here sometimes is the 100%AFKbility a great advantage. on 84 I get 1,3mil with Heirlooms without guild. I have only 2x25 Kneebiters in team and one lvl 12 levelling with them.

you dont get any XP boost, not with heirlooms nor guild.
 
For some reason the skills of my pet always reset to the Tier1 skills. Even if i put the Tier2 skills just before the battle, as soon as my bot engages it resets them.

Any fix/help on this?
 
in pokebuddy while making the logic setup and before pressing save you have to choose the T2 skills manually. then it should work. if you make the logic setup and then change to T2 it will always switch back to T1

I didn't quite understand how either, but would be really interested in knowing. Also, does it by chance provide Guild exp? <-- (because that would be awesome).

I've read that Zandas have been nerfed. In PRT, Hunting Party has a longer cooldown. I don't know if these changes made it to the final patch... but if they did, these pets might no be as effective as before... Can someone confirm if this method still works in 5.3?

uhm. those changes are right but I dont think it will be that hard for us, normally you dont need a 2nd cast of hunting party so its not making a difference
 
this script is superb~ I used the macro-brother script before but that won't allow me to use the computer while doing this.

One question though. is there a way to add "Marsh Fiddler" to the blacklist? I added it through pokkebuddy but my character still starts a battle with it. as there are three pets to fight, it's taking longer than the Lucky Yi fight.

Did you enable the blacklist? On the general settings tab.

I use a whitelist there, with just lucky yi on it.
Disabled the blacklist, enabled whitelist, lucky yi is the only one on the whitelist so it never attacks anything but lucky yi.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong but this one is GG. Just logged on and tried it, at lv 87 only got around 40k xp (as for the difficulty, was slightly more difficult but still on the easy side with the zandalari kneebiters). =\
 
Can anyone else comment on this? If it is 40kxp then it is a nerf but they did reduce overall xp required 85-90 by 33% so it might still be a viable way to level.

Need some confirmation but...

Early posts on the thread reported 120-140k xp per win @ 87

40k is 28-33% of what was reported. That's a -70% hit on xp...

If they reduced xp req to level by 33% with this patch - that will mitigate it some.

Sucks because I was nearly finished leveling my first 25 on my way to trying this!

Still - if you aren't in a race to level quickest, it will still be nice for AFK leveling where you shouldn't have to worry about potential reports.

Hope others can confirm if this is still viable or not with 5.3.
 
I was wondering, since the new patch nerfed most of the attacks of the Zandalari. Is there any other pet that can kill Lucky Yi faster, after the nerf?
 
It took the same amount of turns to kill lucky with my zandalaria.
1st round - the skill that makes them take an additional 81dmg per attack
2nd round - hunting party
3rd round - hunting party hits again (by this time lucky barely has any health left)
4th round - finish off with the skill the regenerates health on kill

This is the same amount of time/effort it took pre-5.3

As per it still being nice to AFK, I'd have to reread the patch notes but I think I remember reading that you can now observe people in pet battles >_<
