I'm looking to run MP7 efficiently.

Currently I run mp5 just fine.

Can someone post what spec is good for MP7+ particularly barb / monk??

Is this for e-peen or to make gp/items?

MP2-3 max for items.
 
So better to run lower mp for items and gold? Also, what class do you run?
 
It is not better to run lower MP, it is better to tune it perfectly, so that your bots make the runs fast enough while die the least possible amount of times at the same time. MP0 and MP1 is a joke, so aim higher. With 100-200 mil worth of gear you can easily do that at mp4 or 5 with monks and barbs. Wizard is good at mp2 and 3 for the same amount of gold spent for EQ. Naturally, the higher the MP the higher the magic(legendary) item drop chance. So it is a matter of fine balance. I find it to be the easiest to just watch the items per hour (IPH) / legendary items per hour (LPH) statistics. Anywhere around 550 IPH and >1.6 LPH is good, provided your bots die less than 2/3 times per hour. Of course this is a lot for 24 hours, so if you can make them die less it would be better.

How do you get 550IPH with >1.6LPH? I am at MP0 600IPH with 0.40LPH and 600k GPH

and BTW, I SOLD 40MIL out of 1000MIL posted today!

Which some of the top streamers said the best run efficiency was around MP2 for them with some of the best gear in-game.

Go figure.
 
doing more runs increases the chances of getting something
a lot less runs on mp10 is not as good (my opinion)
but if you can do highers mps efficiently go for it

You guys need to stop listening to people who, to earn their leaving, say things to random strangers on the internet for 10+ hours every day. I am speaking from experience. Also, where is the logic behind farming mp2 with what you described as "some of the best gear in the world"? Think about the following:
2 bil worth of gear on a wizard, right -> why farm mp2, where you kill the fattest champ for 2 seconds, when you can farm mp4 and kill the same champ for 2.3 seconds (because your uber high archon dps kills stuff so fast anyway)

Also, there is the statistical comparison. I have tried mp0,1,2,3,4,5 and 6 with the same char(s) and found that the best efficiency it at mp4, provided you don't spend over 150 mil for EQ. Of course, it all depends on a lot of things, such as: hardware, software, connection, bot settings, gear, profiles, item rules. Every one of those affects the IPH/LPH and can result in significant differences. That is why i have always encouraged people to try for themselves and figure out what best suits them. But this consumes enormous amounts of time, since you need to watch statistics for 120 hours or so for every thing you change, just to be 100% sure. So, mp3 or 4 that i say is just as guidance, so that people will be able to aim at that and on the way try out higher or lower mp, instead of be stuck at mp0 or 1.

True, but there is a fine balance between speed and increased drop chance/MF from MP. This is why i suggested mp3 or 4, where you can kill fast and still have some increased drop chance.

Yes, well, read my posts before this one. This is exactly what i am talking about. Lower mp allows you to make many runs and die less, but you pass on the additional MF and drop chance. This is why you get roughly the same IPH, but times less LPH. This is why i am saying, that higher mp with better gear is better.

I guess a simple way to put it will be:

IPH of two different people corresponds to their ability to run smoothly.
LPH of two different people corresponds to their efficiency(legendary-wise).

Because I haven't run anything different MP's on my bots at all to test IPH or anything...

That would be crazy. I think i'll just randomly listen to people on the interwebs and do what they tell me.
 
Okay, so tell me what you have found out on your own. That MP2 runs yield better results than mp3 or mp4 runs?
 
Running 160k unbuffed DPS monks, standard WOL build, 500-600 RA, MP2 was close to MP0 in IPH (not many deaths).

To be better, would be 200k+ and/or better survivability (250M+).
 
Aha, well i am running 110-120k dps unbuffed monks in mp4 and they all are over 600 IPH and >1.6 LPH at MP4. Some die <2 times per hour, some a bit more. None over 3.5. What is your LPH at mp2?

p.s. cost of gear is <200mil per monk and they are all all ress EQ, i am not using One with E

how are you running mp4 effeciently with 200 mil build? i spent more then that and run mp2 but they dont die and kill things very fast. like 160-180k unbuffed dps per monk and 600 AR with OWE. I use ascension on some but some don't need it. When you do mp4 do you ever run into a pack of elites that you just cannot handle so your bot just leaves game and starts over? If you could tell me the build / gear you use that would be nice so I can get an idea of what I need to get. I basically got 1200 dps echoiing furies with socket on my monks along with an offhand thats 900-1000 dps with socket and life leech and CD. running act 3 rrix profile. my barbs are also duel wield with same type of weapons. all bots over 45k hp and 550 AR at least, I don't think they could handle mp4 though.
 
135h on 4 barbs (i delete the logs whenever i tweak settings so this is all i got)

MP8 Barb - 120ish million spent - 2.07 lph
MP3 Barb - 50ish million spent - 1.55 lph
MP2 Barb - 50ish million spent - 1.58 lph
MP2 Barb - 50ish million spent - 1.46 lph

I've been lazy with tweaking lately, so these can probably go a lot higher with ideal DB stats. My MP8 barb dies a lot because i refuse to spend a lot of gold on him rofl.

This does not happen at all, or if it does, it is such an rare event, that i haven't caught it happening on screen while i watch. But my bots handle elites pretty well, some packs die for 3-4-5 seconds. Here is the build, but if you search the forums you will be able to find enough good builds. All u need besides dps is 550+ all ress and 41k+ hp.
