Ignore Elites For Higher XP Runs

Is there a way for us to ignore elites in the trinity combat routine? This would result in much higher xp/hr since we can do higher MP xp runs. It's the elites that take a long time to kill. Hence we are limited to forever farming in MP0 instead of MP1 or MP2. if we totally just ignored elites, we'll be able to kill so much more monsters. Besides, most legendaries drop from trash mobs anyway so we won't be missing out on too much loot.

Ignore posts like this, for better time spent.

Are you fucking serious?

that was suppose to be all caps ... im thoroughly disappointed demonbuddy

For your reference ladies. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/7199913320?page=10

It is tested and proven that to get higher XP runs, it's best to ignore elites completely and just kill mobs. I am not talking about item drops as I'm using my bot mainly to level up and not farm items.

lol using your bot to level up? boy you going to be a sad man when the ban comes

ps, it will come, only a matter of time, do not fool yourself into thinking you have some plan or that only people that bot 24/7 get banned. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT bot on a character you care about.

What makes you think I'm not aware of it and that I care if my account get's banned or not? You jump to conclusions way too fast, honey.

It depends how much effort you're willing to put to it.
Simple approach would be to decrease elite weights.

Better approach would be to add elites as their own avoidancetype, and change trinity behaviour to path around them.

please explain why you would bot only for exp

I do not want to bot only for experience. I want my bot to reach paragon 100 asap so I don't have to use mf gear on it and still have 300 percent mf. Elites take too long to kill and most legendaries drop from mobs anyway so I want to totally ignore elites and farm just mobs so I kill more and increase my chances of getting legendary drops. The most respected barbs in the d3 forums have tested this farming method enough times to conclude that this farming style yields more drops per hour than if you included elites.

mp10 trash only also produces an extremely high amount of iph including legendary and rares on top of the big exp.

its not a bullshit theory... its been proven and documented.

if db/trinity can do it ... thats the question he's asking i believe ... not the pro/cons of the build/run.

Finally, someone who seem to actually still play the game and understand how to optimize performance and not just bot exclusively. :-)

Like you guys "learn" these tactics by playing the game. You just watch youtube videos and surf the official forums like every other mongloid that posts here.

Difference being he doesnt argue and try to make other people look foolish by talking trash about a method that has been proven worthwhile. So ... the guy asking if and how its possible for db is foolish? OR the dumbasses mocking him for asking a legit question?

Is this real life?

Just hush maka and run sark like the majority of these waterheads will tell you is prosauce. Shame on you for having any ambition or drive. Jesus fuck on a stick.

To take a stab at your question ... I dont think db would be able to handle skipping vortex or jailer elites and it would more than likely have a hard time killing trash mobs in a respectable time to not die to said elite packs it was kiting. Waller would also prolly cause massive problems as well as 40 arcane beams all over screen cause its still trying to kill the 5 pack of trash in room right after them instead of moving on through the map. There still are some things left the bot cant quite do as efficient as a human. This prolly being 1 of them.

Maybe you can atleast have some sort of peice of mind from this ... I do not know 100% either way tho .... just taking a wild guess.

Demonbuddy's farming method is outdated. Since last couple of D3 patches (paragon level and monster power level), it would be so much more efficient to farm in MP10, ignore elites and run only in places like Keep Depths 2 once your bot hits paragon level 100 and has enough gear to survive and kill fast (kill trash mobs with 1 rend hit) there.

A high dps skorn with WW + RLTW + Rend (Lacerate) works best for barbs.

How do I "decrease elite weights"?

I am pretty sure rrrix is adding a GUI option to Ignore all Elite/Rare/Unique monsters

Pure ignoring wont work, you need some weighting and avoidance tweaking.

Avoidance is unaffected, how I've added it is to just simply ignore them. It works...

I tried it on Inferno MP10 but even the trash mobs killed me. I guess my WD's a scrub :(

Anyways, MP0 it worked fine, didn't really get stuck anywhere. Tight spaces like Keep Depths 2/3 may have issues, or stairs in Stonefort/skycrown.

Thanks for adding this feature rrrix! This works best with a Skorn ww/rltw + rend lacerate build and farming high monster density places like Keep Depths 2. Ultimately, if we can get the bot to rend a group of trash mobs then move on to the next mob without waiting for the first mob to die, it would be even more efficient. The trick is to have a strong enough barb to kill trash mobs within the 5 seconds that rend is active.

This is what I do when I farm manually and the results are amazing.

We need to use WOTB when we're farming trash mobs though. I tested it just now and it works fine. I already saw a 25% jump in my gph but WOTB does not get activated because of avoiding elites.
