Just wanted to know what people thought.. cause i gave up questing after level 4 where it wouldn't listen to me ; P

In my opinion for max honour its Battleground Weekend XP >>> Grinding >>> Questing (Needs to much babysitting at the mo as still in beta)

Right now it's really too early to try to compare the two. It's like comparing apples and oranges. And there are so many possible variables, that you can never really compare the two. A well written grinding profile coupled with mixed mode would certainly out-level a poorly written, buggy quest/grind profile. On the other hand, if you were to compare a well written, thoroughly tested questorder/grinding profile against a common grinding profile, you're going to level faster with the questing profile.

Once questing is out of it's infancy and more quests are supported and better profiles are written, questing profiles will become the standard.

Ever so slightly off-topic but .... Oranges >>>>>>>>>>>> Apples :)

/agree... ;)

On-topic, CTA weekends absolutely rule hands down. Got 72-77 in AB weekend even though my bot seemed to keep disconnecting on a regular basis (ban inc?). I prefer to use questing wherever possible as I just think it looks more human, but grinding has gotta be the most stable. I wouldn't dare leave my bot running on a questing profile while I go to work, but I'm happy to set him off grinding for a day or two alone.

I find it just a little funny when people say

Because regardless of how well written it is, there will ALWAYS be errors. Maybe it's just my luck of draw but, I found that after a week of trying to quest, it was usually the bots error. Not the questorder profile. So right now, definitely mixed/grinding. I tend to only use mixed on weekends, and grinding only on weekdays. Grinding has always been just what I'm looking for and when the bot isn't stuck on a mailbox, all is gooooood.

Way to only quote half of what I said, and then use it out of context at that. Read the entire post. I started out by saying "RIGHT NOW ....."

Well right now, you think it's too early to compare the two. But you did anyways.

Either way, I wasn't directly aiming it at you. More so that seems to be the general direction botters are going in. The "babysitting" direction. Not that I don't agree with questing, 'cause quite frankly when I first tried out HB questing I was amazed... but after really trying to use it I thought, "RIGHT NOW, this is a waste of time."

See what I did there?

I've been using Questing without any QuestOrder profiles since ~ level 10, I'm now level 59.

It occasionally (maybe every 6 hours or so) requires some input from me. Usually it's because I have to some complicated sequence of tasks (Retrieve spell item from somewhere, combine Item A with B, use Item AB at location XY) beyond the normal Kill Mob or Use Item. When it hits these, it usually just stands there and gets logged out eventually.

I prefer questing since it will send your character all over a zone (or many zones!), rather than just run in a circle and kill mobs. Seems Questing would be much less detectable.

Haven't really tried PVP mode much, but first impression seems too obvious that i'm botting.

I've already been called out as the resident "friendly bot" during AB weekend... Thankfully I was sat at the computer about to set it back to pure grind, so had a little... Grumble at the guy who accused me ;) Apparently adding the opposing faction IDs to the BG profiles can help you look less bot-like, sometimes helps with quicker targetting than running past all enemies mindlessly..

I'm willing to give it another try. Do you happen to know or have a reference to the horde/alliance faction IDs?

i can finally get back to making my profiles lol i overbooked my accounts so i had no HB avaible :P

1 PLAYER, Human
2 PLAYER, Orc
3 PLAYER, Dwarf
4 PLAYER, Night Elf
5 PLAYER, Undead
6 PLAYER, Tauren
115 PLAYER, Gnome
116 PLAYER, Troll
1610 PLAYER, Blood Elf
1629 PLAYER, Draenei

Try that :)

questing is always faster xp, if u wanna afk bot then grind only should be safer than afk pvp/mixed, granted you move from location to location from time to time, personally i bot on my main account so i babysit 80% of the time, playing with questorder is quite fun, especially since the recent improvments (on the edge of my seat for the next release). all depends on what your goals are i guess. even tho im just playing with questorder, making a zone questprofile near perfect is quite satisfying :). if noone beats me to it, ill prob make some proper ones for cataclysm, as i plan to level a goblin rogue and or hunter.

i would have to disagree with questing being more Xp/hour simply because i have no access to 1.9.5.8 and that the only verison that works for me at the moment is 1.9.5.5 does not like to turn quest in and or picks up the quest i blacklist / did not include

Hands up those who wants ? mixed quest/pvp bot!

why... would you guys even think about a mixed quest and pvp!

questing alone is so bugged up atm >_<
