DK is by far the best for me, and I have every class to 90! This is based on downtime, and speed of kills. Slow to get in LFR's, so overall I would say Pally, Druid, or Monk since you can queue as healer for LFR, and then doing dailies is fast for them as well.
 
what CRs are you guys using for LFR since so many of you talk about healers... I seem to have trouble in dungeons/lfr with any healer (any cr I tried sucked big time, but I must admit I havent tried Oracle so far.. is it really that good?)

Dude, where have I been? After reading this thread I ran to go find this CC, and now I'm so excited to try it!

I realized the reason I never saw it was because I'm stupid and fail to keep checking the All-In-One subsection. Alas, now I must wait until HB is up again before I can bask in it's awesomeness.

Whats CR's?
 
Definitely tauren druid for gathering, instant flying mount, fast herbing, tank dps or heal...what else can you ask for.

Though a blood dk is ridiculous for leveling and solo work...

Seems mining/herbing has been on Blizz's hot list lately. With the Foragers Gloves, the little advantage druids get for being able to herb in flight form is minuscule. And like you said soloing instances, farming leather, motes, cloth etc, a Death Knight will thrive where ALL other classes will die.

Thats what everyone has been saying, I've been boting 3 different herb/miners 12 hours every day for 3 months and haven't had any issue. All on different severs with a private profile mind you. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Foragers gloves don't work with the tauren racial the herbing part anyway, the main advantage is you dont have to fall out of flight form to gather herbs, and the fast gather. Many times you can aggro a mob and gather and fly away without having to engage.

If you just do herbs, i think 3 seconds faster for an herb (.5 gather vs 2.0 and no mount time vs 1.5 mount time) add up over 12 hours of gathering...

say you do 100 nph (conservative by any profile) x3 x12 = 3600 more seconds of gathering = 36 more nodes = ~ 5 more stacks.

That doesn't even count the time you dont have to engage mobs to fight for them :). I'll always use tauren druids for herbing. it's just sooooo fast :)
 
Like many things in life, fast doesn't always = best. If mining/herbing were the only way to make gold, I could see your point. But from a logical stand point, being stuck on druids solely for the purpose of herbing is limiting your options. Take your druid to Grim Batol, Tol'vir, Stonecore, BRC and solo them, then you will understand why DK's are more versatile.

Edit: Too many farmers on your server, too many herbs/ores on the AH, go solo instances, gather cloth, greens, BOE's, skin, mine/herb. Thus more options instead of trying to be speacialized. Specialized + environment change = worthless druid.

I think you exactly made the point that its all circumstantial, I quantified my answer, as it pertains to gathering, specifically herbalism. I never suggested druids, specifically tauren druids, were the end all be all of the best class to bot with. Perhaps there are too many instance grinders on your server. Too much cloth? AH flooded with dust? Again, it's circumstantial.

I'll stand by my point that for gathering, specifically herbalism, tauren druids are in a class by themselves :)

To each their own. Sometimes it's hard to see the forest for all the trees. I prefer not to put all my eggs in one basket. Should there be too much cloth, make bags, if there are too many bags, DE mats, vendor the greens and blues. Either way you get your gold reguardless of the AH or other botters.
 
I really don't see the difference of opinion here, all my bots aren't tauren druid herbalists, nor am i suggesting that the way to go :).

I guess there not going to be a rlease tonight, I'm tired of PQrR'ing BG's...time for bed for me, night all
 
DK>Lock>=huntard Dk because of the fact they are beast! and I've played Dk since day one of LK. Lock and Huntard because both do decent damage and have pets to tank therefore giving them good survivability!
 
i was enhance shaman all the way unstoppable hardly ever died then botanist said try blood dk its unstoppable and i mad 3 or 4 cant mind they are awsome for me i now use for most things.
 
I prefer classes i dont have to babysit. So dk, pally, monk, druid
Warrior not so much because they dont have overwhelming cc and their charge really screws with pathing for hb, you can turn it off but meh.
