Cipro - The forum rules are dictated by the owner of the forums, or at least the content placed in it (although I feel projects should not directly count, permission should have to be requested to use code, like it was before)
We have no right to demand of them to allow us to advertise anything here. They can also deny any of us the privilege to post on the forums.

How would we be get to have a discussion with the Admins/Mods/Bossland about the issues that caused the re-writing of the rules?
Inrego was going to post a suggestion prior to the forums going offline (yet again), so hopefully he'll be on a little later.
I feel setting up a sort of meeting would be better than having this kind of thread pop up every week.

Also, I had made a post about what I agree/disagree with, as well as the issue of motivating 3rd party devs.
Did that post actually get a good read-through, or was it just glanced over/ignored? If it was read, did it start any discussions within the company?

Edit: To address the addition of advertisements to the forums - No, unless you have direct control of the advertised materials. You wouldn't want adsense or any of that crap. Especially wouldn't want other bots showing up in adds on your forums either. This also relates back to the meeting from above.

just keep in mind how easy would be for Bossland to fill our boards with advertisements and earn money(and believe me we get a lot of offers everyday)

but he didnt...there is a reason for everything

and imo there is a good reason,as a user i prefer our boards free of any kind of advertisement

if you find my example bad,take a look over the net and you will find out you are wrong


but again,this has nothing to do with the fact that users should follow our rules
