I wasn't going to add to the newest bans, but then I realized the information may be valuable to someone-
Note: This was my third 72 hour suspension over the course of several years. My first was when WoWSharp threw in the towel. I was actually logged into the game playing WSG (manually) and my client got logged out. My password was reading invalid, so I requested a reset... only to find that my account was suspended until Saturday (Aug 14th).
I was always under the assumption that you would get a single 72 hour suspension, maybe a second, but "strike 3, you're out"... Perhaps I got lucky. I've been told by some users that it may have something to do with my authenticator.
Blizzard Form Email: "Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Use of Third Party Automation Software"
1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account?
HonorBuddy
2)If so, when was the last time?:
August 10th 12:30 PM EST
3)What profile were you using?:
Striker13's 51-62 Felwood to Winterspring (http://www.buddyforum.de/showthread.php?5563-51-62-Felwood-to-Winterspring-%28Leather-Fast-XP-RAF-Friendly%29)
4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:
Themyscira 2.0.3 - Warrior CC
5)What plugins are you using?:
MountHelper, ExitTimer, EspChatLog
6)How many hours per day did you bot for?:
Roughly 3-5 hours in 1.5 hour intervals since August 5th
7)How many auctions per day did you have?:
I try to auction 5 to 10 auctions a day to look active
8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods?
Yes, Apoc's Quicktrack (tracking Humanoids and Beasts while manually playing WSG during this week's CTA)
9)Was your account involved in gold selling?
No
Additionally: My hunch is that it may have had something to do with my use of QuickTrack. I'm guilded, active in Trade chat, participated in BGs (without botting), and I never received any suspicious whispers from players or a GM. The above-mentioned profile also had a buggy spot in Winterspring where it liked to jump in place and run into a wall of an OwlBeast cave.
Additionally-Additionally: My only other hunch, (which adds way too many variables to this) is the fact that all I did at work for a few days last week was fish. I believe I got 1-300 in a day of work (@ level 38 or so) and all but one coin from the Dalaran fountain. Sadly, this was all done by hand... which would really make it the worst possible reason for a suspension ever.
