Before the ban wave, I agree there was no major reason for it. But after Blizz dropped a nuke on us, I think it is something that needs to be considered. Any business should be open to its customers concerns. Now I'm sure this will be closed quickly and that I'll probably receive a mute or something, but whateve, it needs to be addressed with more than stop talking about it.

Okay mister arm desk developer and anti security expert.

Why dont you list 5 VALID TECHNICAL reasons for the move to 64 bit that related to this banwave

Im waiting.

inbefore closure of another post.

the more this gets closed, the more i believe its something that is needed but they just cant do it.

Well here's one and it's a good one that can count as five. None of the other bots have been targeted and they run on x64. Good day sir!

Or that it will give a completely new program to deal with instead of an updated version of the one they just killed.

Only people that use 32 are bots, I'd say less than 10% of the wow community is on 32 and thats over shooting it a bit imo. thats why. "Oh hey, this guy can run 64 bit wow but is on 32 bit" >>>red flag<<< hide in with the sheep, not be a obvious wolf...

theres is no reason whatsoever to play in 32 bit unless u got a shitty pc. if you want to make use of all ur memory u need 64 anyway.
since theres a limitation on 32 bit.

enough reason to believe everyone in 32 bit bots. those that dont are collateral damage hence people being false accused.

I asked for a technical reason, what you stated is you again being an armchair developer making assumptions

Oh what an awesome analogy! I mean its not at all like you just pulled your 10% out of your ass, and you sure are an expert on the field when you say that the fact you run 32 bit is enough to flag you.

Anyone with any actual, technical, qualified input? Cuz so far these threads are created by idiots with no technical experience, and you are all quite laughable.

Yeah, I did come up with a random number. But are you really that slow to not understand nobody uses 32-bit anymore? You don't need to understand anything other than technology becomes obsolete and newer, better versions come out to replace said obsolete technology. Please tell me who the f uses 32 bit still as a main computer...? Even crappy walmart $100 pcs are 64 bit since 2010...... what else do you have to argue against a logical step forward in technology? If I have to break it down even more for you it's pretty simple. Nobody uses 32 bit anymore, except bots. 2 + 2 = 4. If you're running 32 bit wow client = very high chance that you're a bot. So high, they can blanket ban and only have the minority be false bans.

Im sorry, your right, nobody use 32 bit anymore, this is why Blizzard were complete idiots to leave the 32 bit option in the game, and Bossland are complete idiots for not moving to 64 bit

I mean, this is why the vast majority of all software is 32 bit to this day, because no one is using 32 bit, because we're all absolute idiots, im sorry, your right, please accept my apology.

I think at this point....2015, anybody going out of there way to launch the 32bit client on a 64bit operating system has GOT to be regarded as suspicious. Let's face it, anybody running the 64bit version can be automatically ruled out of been a HB user...that's going to be a significant number of normal players. I'd go as far as to say almost all players. The 32bit guys left over are soooo likely to be up to no good; whether it's botting or gold selling.

It is a valid problem and I would like to see HB go 64bit as this point.

Steam Hardware & Software Survey click on windows 7 part it'll drop down and show you %s of all OS's 32 and 64......... numbers don't lie, and steam has a massive playerbase. If that doesn't prove that 32 is dead idk what will.

Great, now link this to microsoft, steam themselves, Bossland, google, opera, mozilla

All of these companies run 32 bit software, skype is 32 bit, steam is 32 bit, chrome is 32 bit, opera is 32 bit, mozilla is 32 bit, WoW has 32 bit option, hearthstone is 32 bit, HoTs is 32 bit, Star craft is 32 bit

Guess we all idiots.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the creator of firehack reversed the new warden module and said it affected 32 bit wow. Maybe I misread it but if true seems they are focusing on 32 bit client. However swapping to 64 bit will only make them target it. 32 bit or 64 bit if blizz wants us banned bad enough we'll get banned.

The difference is those don't try to hide from being caught, it doesn't matter what THEY do. do you still not understand? everyone uses 32 bit of those, but not wow. WoW auto starts 64-bit if you have a 64-bit machine (Which shockingly, as steam points out... 90%+ of people do) which means the only people that are running 32 bit are.... you guessed it 98% botters and 2% teens that can't afford a pc that was made in the last 5-6yrs. if you don't understand still well..I guess you never will... Oh well.

The main point of wanting a 64 bit is to put us in the majority of the player base. Make it harder for them to find us. I think we all agree that there are far less people using 32 bit os, even if we argue over the percentage. But as I originally stated is that it is something that should be looked at at the very least.

Exactly gamerhead! If you play on like Illidan and they have 10k people online prob only like 300-500 are on 32-bit which means they don't have to look into 10k+ people they need to only look into the 300-500... finally someone gets it D:

I think it just took awhile to get the right words out.

I agree 100% with this. The fact is, there are hundreds of servers/realms and numerous regions to consider. The above numbers are just for 1 server in 1 region. I realize recoding and basically starting from square 1 to make HB compatible with 64 bit would be a huge headache, but on the flip side, HB has a massive community and a huge fan base that would support them every step of the way if it meant our accounts were more heavily guarded. I would much rather wait 6 months or however long it took to make HB compatible with 64 bit if it meant I would be 1 of the 10000 people Blizzard had to comb through instead of 1 out of the 500, that's a huge difference. Plus, in the off chance you did get banned, the person next to you who was not bottling got banned, you would be more inclined to win an appeal. 100% support this idea an will be here for support as needed.

I mentioned the same thing....I'm sure most of these people reading thought the same thing, it's common sense really lol.
