WW Barb Backtracking And how to set zerg Setting in Trinity

My WW Barb is doing a lot of backtracking (meaning going back over the same area. It is even back to the beginning of the map) rather than just going over the un-open area. is there a way to set a zerg setting for it to just hit elite packs and ignore trash mobs . I am currently running torment 8-9 pretty easily.
