WTF Banned on gold account AND main acct

What the hell is going on? I just got banned on a computer I never botted on on my main account AND my gold holding account. This is bullshit. The ONLY thing that ties these accounts to my botters that got banned yesterday is the same IP.
 
my main just got hit to... they got my alt sets running IB today and now my main.
 
Did you frequently have you bots join your mains game to xfer gold + items to it?
 
I have never associated, gold, items, or even been in the same game on my main. The ONLY reason I could have been banned is because of the same IP. Some other guy said his roommates got banned too and they did nothing botting related either.
 
Sounds like blizzard is going a little ban happy, you how did you ever get gold to your main if you never joined a game on one of your bots?
 
I told you, I quad box, I never moved a single piece of gold to my main, I never needed to. Quad boxing is plenty profitable (4 characters at the same time with isboxer which is 100% acceptable according to blizzard). This is a case of purely banning via "guilt by association" Playing D3 on the same IP as a botter = banworthy now.
 
Have any of you received the email from Blizz yet? Just curious what they state the reason for the Ban was?

not yet, but i'm sure it's going to be the same thing. The ban message while I was quad boxing was the same thing my bots got. "multiple violations" bs.

I guess the item prices are going up in a few days then :))

Yeah because college dorm buddies have to use *** because their roommates bot; that makes a LOT of sense son.

Are you for real? Do you even know what a V P N is?
Bot on V P N and play on your real IP = no connection between the account = no bot+main bans.

Apologies, but I'm not too knowledgeable on these matters, so I was hoping someone could just give me the quick n' dirty of how it works and its advantages. Which, btw, is why I asked in the first place.

I've heard people mentioning the benefits of using one for torrenting. Given the recent news of MPAA/RIAA being empowered to work with ISPs to track down and punish wrongdoers, I'm more curious than ever. If a V P N would really help with torrents AND botting, I might really consider looking into one seriously.
 
if there is no report to file then dont make a thread in the ban report section.
