WoW HonorBuddy Bans coincided with D3 DemonBuddy Bans

I finally had to chime in. I as well was banned with everyone else on the 18th after avoiding the first wave. If you all knew exactly what you were talking about then we wouldn't all be banned after purchasing your product. Yes these unavoidable circumstances were bound to happen. But don't sit around and parade like you've accomplished something and brag about your knowledge while your product is currently failing the majority of users. If you knew what you were talking about then you would know why we are being detected. I am not expecting the DB staff to be perfect, but don't pretend to be. Your losing more customers with these types of comments than gaining that is for sure.

It?s not failing the majority of users, the product is / was working as intended and did what it intended, I?m pretty sure most users would say that DB was working as intended and it did what they wanted it to do.

And to be quite frank they were not certain what blizzard was up to at any point they had suspicions and that?s all most business don?t comment until they know for sure what is happening.

And to be quite frank no one knows for sure why you were detected only blizzard does NO one will truly know how people were detected unless they work for the Administration team for D3

Agreed. So what your saying is no one should say they "know exactly what they're talking about", since of course nobody knows? Well put Sir.

For me it's not about if they knew "exactly" what was going on. It's about the fact they had a sneaking suspicion something was happening yet didn't say anything. Again I'm not angry with the Bdev's or feel I'm owed anything it's just in the future I hope they can be a little more communicative about what they feel is going on with their product. Whether it's a feeling, a fact, or anything else I'd be very happy to hear their opinions. They are the expert's on this topic IMO. We can sit around and speculate all day, they have a more intimate knowledge about the processes between our computers and Blizzards servers than all of us. Again I just hope they share their feelings about whats going on better in the future.

Like I’ve said most business who have a clue about doing business will not reveal anything until they are certain

They’d look extremely stupid in that sense if they said they suspected blizzard was up to something and nothing actually came out of it, you have two look at it both ways

As a customer I don't have to look at it both ways. I understand your point but I'd rather go with a company who is open an honest than one who releases information after it's to late. They aren't Blizzard their wont be millions of angry fan post if they end up being wrong. Granted their would be some backlash but if information was released in a manner that doesnt say it's 100% accurate. Most people would be appreciative of the heads up as opposed to being angry the info was wrong.

DAFAQ!!

Next time can we get a sticky,

"Hey guys Blizzard is doing something funny, we don't know if it's anything but the more cautious of you might want to lie low for a bit."

It's insulting to see this message after my accounts are already dead. If there is any inkling that something may be up I feel we have a right to know.

Couldn't agree more.

EDIT: I love DB. I think its a great program. I am only commenting on the attitude around here.

well looks like you missed my point

i am talking about software detection
and its not software detection

also about Cng's post

ofc we dont know when Blizz gonna hit people

how do you know its not software detection ? how do you know that they didnt flagged any surviver and will ban them soon ? Iam sure they investigate the left accs atm and they are banned in atleast 1 or 2 weeks ... so far

Software detection is 100% bans and all users get hit at same time. We last had that on September 3 2009 with the old Gatherbuddy and no users survived. This set of bans was probably not detection based as there are just not enough bans being reported.

Behaviour detection tends to be a lot less accurate so they store up a few hundred bans and unload all at once to scare people off botting.

This set of bans is too big to be just behaviour but way too small to be detection. Even if a few innocents have been hit, it has hit a fair chunk of our users. We are doing things manually and seeing what packets are sent to the D3 server. Then we do the same thing with the bot. We compare the packet streams and are making sure they match up. So far, we have only found one mismatch but once this is done, the bot will be as safe as we can make it and we will re-open auth.

noobies, dont get attached to accounts you bot on.

PERIOD, EVER

STOP THAT SHIT

I'm attached to money.
Accounts = Money, since money is used to buy them.
Therefore I'm attached to accounts :(

So doesn't matter if you're botting for fun (items and xp on account to boast around) or money, end result is the same when Blizzard bans faster than what you can break even with.

Of course, if Cdkeys, Gear, Electricity, Hardware and Labor were to be "free" like how the China-BotFarms gets them for, then it wouldn't matter if Blizzard does a 100% ban on me every 48 hours.

Not going to elaborate on "free" though, feel free to use your imagination.
