WoW HonorBuddy Bans coincided with D3 DemonBuddy Bans

they are the same company, im sure both have GM departments and both have the same head hancho boss guy setting a schedule of when to binge and purge accounts. as far as detection we've know that blizzard was up to something for some time in terms of what they are doing server side, but like d3 we have no idea exactly what it is or what can trigger it. in both cases normal people can, and have gotten caught so its not 100% fool proof for them.

So the last few times when you guys say we are UNDETECTED. You really have no clue and just want to keep people paying you as long as you can? I am sorry but between the ban wave + virus on your build server....

we know exactly what we are talking about

I am really torn on this Tony. I would love to believe you guys are not shady like that. Unforgettably, you guys have not had a good product with DB since release. That is another topic, don't want to get into another pissing match with you.

That aside.

I know you guys said no before to this.

Anyway simple things like IDing items without inventory open and other simple little things that are not achievable without 3rd party software is the cause of this. Simple things suck as this seem to me the most likely way to get detected.

you dont know the numbers(DB users) and you are totally wrong there...anyways

well that answered me n admin:

... db is trackable ! thats for sure ... rest of the people are flagged and will be banned soon -.-. They found the way to track db ....

Thought I'd save some people some time. That translated to English is:

Runs during the Diablo III (the client), the client can access memory (RAM) on your computer and / or your computer's CPU scan for non-authorized third-party software that runs concurrently with Diablo III. Additionally, the client will scan the game installation directory, to ensure that only non-hacked original software is used. The sole purpose of this scan is to ensure that our players are playing in a cheat-free environment. The term non-authorized third-party software, as used herein, refers to any third party software inclusive of all add-ons or mods at their discretion of Blizzard Entertainment

That excerpt from the ban email is nothing new. It doesn't mean that Blizzard can detect DB client-side.

Personally, I think Blizzard uses statistical analysis on game behavior, player reports, some manual investigation, etc. They also seem to do weird stuff like invisible walls, random obstacles, obstacles purposely placed in paths that you take too often or that they have deemed to be common botting paths, temporarily cut off communication from server to client to test how the client reacts, etc.

It's a really bad sign when your map fails to load and your bot continually tries to run into an invisible wall, but your internet connection is fine. I think DB needs to check for things like this and react more human-like in these types of situations.

Do you seriously think they do such depth behaviour analysis? We are talking about millions of players and I am sure a big part of them have bad internet connection that can cause the stucks mentioned above on regular basis.
One thing I know for sure, 4 of my bots have been running for 2+ months, 16-20 hours a day same ACT3 public scripts. I have survived all ban weaves till 18.12.12 one.On the other hand another of my bots that was started after the new patch and ran less than a week was also banned. I highly highly doubt that it has something to do with the way the bot acts ingame, they simply do not have the people nor the resources to watch millions of instances of diablo3 and I am willing to bet on that.

DAFAQ!!

Next time can we get a sticky,

"Hey guys Blizzard is doing something funny, we don't know if it's anything but the more cautious of you might want to lie low for a bit."

It's insulting to see this message after my accounts are already dead. If there is any inkling that something may be up I feel we have a right to know.

+1
if I knew that WoW servers were down as well id probably xfer my gear and wait a day or as that was quite fishy

LOL...I think you guys missed some sarcasm back there...

How can you possibly think that WoW maintenance coinciding w/ D3 maintenance means anything?? That's the way it's always been.

I know you guys said no before to this.

The volume of DB users does not effect the quality of a product(well it shouldn't but did for months auth server anyone). You had basically a monopoly so yes you have high user count. Does not make your product quality.

If they product was not 'quality' then, they would not have a high user count

Most people don’t seem to purchase something that does not work properly, or the alike so there must be some kind of quality in the product offered.

we know exactly what we are talking about

I finally had to chime in. I as well was banned with everyone else on the 18th after avoiding the first wave. If you all knew exactly what you were talking about then we wouldn't all be banned after purchasing your product. Yes these unavoidable circumstances were bound to happen. But don't sit around and parade like you've accomplished something and brag about your knowledge while your product is currently failing the majority of users. If you knew what you were talking about then you would know why we are being detected. I am not expecting the DB staff to be perfect, but don't pretend to be. Your losing more customers with these types of comments than gaining that is for sure.

EDIT: I love DB. I think its a great program. I am only commenting on the attitude around here.
