Hi guys,

When I start Honorbuddy, WoW will critically error after about 20seconds.

I have discovered if I have a 64-bit WoW running in the background (logged in to an alt account or not) it works fine.

I initially thought this might be due to the ram limitation of 32bit WoW as I have got a 3440x1440 monitor but even limiting to low resolution and 800x600 windowed I still get this error until I open a 64 bit process in the background.

I thought it might have been HBrelog - but have stopped using and have same issue.

If I do not attach Honorbuddy I can use the 32bit WoW.exe alone for hours without a critical error.

I have uninstalled Honorbuddy, re-downloaded and re-installed without success. I then uninstalled, downloaded zip and placed in a new directory - same error.

Most recent log attached.

Event Viewer Application Error below (but please note - this only happens when HB is attached)

Any ideas?

Hi, Dayno, and thanks for the log.

This is clearly a program on your machine that is interfering with Honorbuddy operation. Here are two articles to help you get started chasing it down:

We've seen instances where malware will also cause this problem. Honorbuddy checks for a few of the known, popular culprits. But, there are far too many, and they're constantly changing for Honorbuddy's detection to be encompassing. You should run a malware scan, also.

Thanks guys

It has only been happening recently - I have Symantec Endpoint which has been installed for a long time and has not caused issues before but turned off for testing - confirmed still having issues. Plus other machines with SEP are working fine.

I also discovered RaptR installed when I recently installed new AMD VGA drivers.

Ill remove software on that list, go back to DX9 and confirm.

Hey Tony,

Sorry I had not checked back been quite busy. It was RaptR in the end (which IS listed on your conflicting software page). Uninstalling RaptR and no issues since - fucking AMD and their default installer!

Thanks a lot for your quick responses and help - much appreciated!
