Would you rather bot, or work for $8/hour?

Just for fun if you had to chose, would you rather have 5 bots running act3 champs, or work at McDonalds for $8 an hour? If you chose botting it would be 24/7 + RMAH. If you chose McDonalds, you would be working 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Would probably make $320 a week before taxes. What would you do?

If I had a kid / family. I would be at McDonalds. If you expect to support a family off botting you have already failed.

Round here maccas pays about $10 per hour for 14 years olds, and more the older you are. $25 per hour is your average clerical job at some big company, say being an accounts clerk. Oh, and that's Australian $, which is slightly more than USD.

I wonder how much basic everyday products like bread, butter, milk cost there.

I was wondering same thing.. The rate at one is payed for basic labor skills (McDs/AnyStartingLvlLaborJob) usually is in relation to the cost of living.

You guys pay what 8$ for a gallon of milk?

lolz...

yeah.. probably do both... you get taxes either way...

oh wait... u get double taxes on botting... blizzard taxes (15% and government year-end taxes) lol

To the OP (if you are still reading this thread) the reason you didn't get any serious answers is your question is worded a bit strange. It almost seems as if you are trying to compare the two, and if anybody answers botting you are going to try a "gotcha" statement. Most people that bot aren't doing it as their job. I would guess the vast majority of us work full time/go to school/etc, but we bot on the side because it's fun, and it just so happens we get a little money on the side too :) We don't have to choose between McDonald's and botting..... That's like asking if I would rather go to a park and take pictures of squirrels, or go outside in my new jogging shoes. Neither of those has anything to do with each other, and technically I can do both.

Milk is like $6 for 3 litres, not sure about the rest, I just throw it in the trolley without looking at the price. Well, a 6 pack of beer would set you back about $17, cigarettes are taxed heavy, so a 20 pack of Marlboro would be about $16. $6 for 0.5 of a kilo of lamb cutlets. My rent is $400 a week for a one bedroom apartment.

none of the above. I'm very happy with my $22/hour + 10-20 hours overtime/week. Also not botting for RMAH. Botting to level/gear up my account and my friends account. I would probably be suicidal if I made any less than $15/hour. I spend $200/week just on organic food for myself. My car is another $600/mo. Couldn't live life as a poor man...

I can tell you this, the only reason I started doing this is because I only work 10-12 days a month.

This is like a hobby for me. Other than using my proceeds for my other hobbies

Seems that You got about 4 times higher prices in Australia than in Poland, so i guess thats why its possible for some ppl to make a living with botting.

i have a 3 bedroom house for $650/m rent..

dear god i cant imagine having to pay that much for shit.

He also gets paid more. Australia must work like California with those prices.

Yeah, things cost more but we get paid more. Great for the people, cause ordering stuff from overseas ends up being really cheap, not so good for our economy lol. Ciggies are only so expensive because about 90% of the price is taxes, the government is trying to get people to stop smoking :)

If McDonalds paid me $8/hr to have my bot serve burgers, sure, why not?
