This thread is in no way indicitative of my immediate intention to start charging for my work, I'm simply trying to gauge peoples willingness to spend money on CCs / profiles.

Hyperthetically, lets say the cost of the CC is $US 10. For that you get full MSN / Email support and free updates for the life of the product. And it comes with a money back guarantee if you're not happy with the purchase.

When voting in the poll, ESPECIALLY if you vote NO, please indicate why. I'd really to hear from everyone who votes NO.

Edit: Just a quick calculation based on all the donations I've received for my CCs. If I remove all donations above $100 and all below $5 and average out the remaining donations the value is $US 43.35. Personally, I think $45 is a bit much, but then, I've made some rather large donations to others in similar situations. If I have the money, I don't mind paying for quality products.

If I wasn't such a poor student.. heck yes. Up to a point though. I don't want to pay more for a great CC than I did for the bot.

I have to say yes and no.

If I was a lazy bastard then yes pay through the nose, but I hope to think I am a good member of this community, Ive started making my own profiles and help where I can so in that case I would say no I would not like to pay for them.

I do appreciate the hard work that goes into making a cc or a profile (I should know im often banging my head testing it).

The problem I see with paid cc's and profiles is a as a punter how would I know its a good one or not. As it would be far too easy to sell crap and reap the rewards and give crap to the community, that would bring down the good name that the bot has. As lets face it this is an amazing openly available bot atm.

If the above though can be answered easily then I say defo go for it. But I do see torrents being made very quickly once a few people have paid for them.

You raise a bloody good point. :)

If you started charging for the CC say 25 dollars US and would give me custom changes etc to get it working so that I didnt have to go in and change anything, I am 100% willing to pay for it. I think personally that anyone that really knows what they are doing should charge. I botted WAY back in EQ days with some program i forget and it was so basic but I paid a guy 50 bucks for a custom profile that would farm mushrooms for me in fungus grove to get AA points. It was completely worth it for me because it got what I wanted and I didnt know enough to make one myself.

$5.... would be a good price..

$5 per profile would be a fair price I would have to agree with that.

But then with the OneCC you would be paying for 10 CC's x $5 = $50 which seem a lot to pay, but then as I have beta tested an earlier ver of the OneCC its would be DEFO worth it as it seriously kicks ass..

I would have to vote no mainly because i'm in high school and can't pay for much atm. Hard to find jobs around here because there are lots of kids that live here.

haha, hard to find a job? there are jobs. question is do you want to do it? if you can't afford $5 i , i'm going to stop now...

I voted no. I'd pay, but feel it the wrong way for the community, I'd much prefer an old way of donating, e.g., ad clicking. Click five ads per use of the cc, takes you wat, myabe a minute extra starting up, then you're free to use it until you close HB, at which point you click antoher 5, or something. Something, fast, that provides the creator with a nice sum, doesn't necessarily mean the user has to HAVE money in a bank or paypal.. The effort to click 5 ads woudl weed out lazy people who complain before lookign thigns up anyway, therefore, it's win win. lol.

Oh I wish..

For $5 a profile i should be getting a perfected questing profile to 80! hahaha

But yes, i would pay for a CC and i already have donated on few occasions.

Your talking about one profile, i can't just spend 50+ dollars on CC's O.o

I told myself that as soon as I had my 9 farmers (I plan to habe 9 in the end) I will donate to the author of every CC I used.

But i definitely would pay for a good CC. But it should be supported and really good.
Also I think that people would read instructions and so on more if they had to pay for the CC...also I don't think the noobs will pay (this refers to your other Thread)
The risk is that soon all CCs will be payed and after that all Plugins and Profiles and that you'll have to pay for everything in the end...and that would be very annoying

I would pay up to 15€ for a good working extremely customizeable CC with outstanding support.

I see your point, once the ball starts rolling it can snowball very quickly. And before you know it, everyone is making paid CCs and profiles.

In 8 days, my CC has been downloaded over 800 times. If I received just $1 per download ..... :D

i think he meant with each race..

Nope there are 10 playable classes -

Classes >
1. Death Knight
2. Druid
3. Hunter
4. Mage
5. Paladin
6. Priest
7. Rogue
8. Shaman
