Would like to help / develop BG Bot

Hey guys,

basically im after some one like Apoc, of Bossland or who ever created the BG Bot if they would be interested in sharing the source code as well as wanting some one to continue and fix and dev more of the BG Bot.

At the moment i have alot of free time on my hands and basically looking for something to do, i personally am all about PVP and pvp currently needs improvement alot.

just wondering who do i get in contact with to possibly join the Dev team of BG Bot

i just released a CC for Druid for PVP. and to be honest, would rather see some more of my time actually spent on fixing the BG's them selfs.

i am sure most of this community would agree with this that actually use BG Bot.

I am no way a member of the HB team but I can assure you the response will be pretty similar;

1. The source code is private and you need to prove yourself worth while to the team.
2. A druid PVP CC is great for the community but it doesn't really come close to the required experience and understanding of the bot itself.

Please do not see this as a put down, I have no intention of flaming you or degrading your work.
What you should do is carry on with your CC and make sure it is properly maintained, then move onto bigger projects. For example look at Raphus, he started with some nice and clean CCs and then moved towards botbases for Arch and Gatherbuddy2.

yeah i defiantly know trust is a big thing, but i have not seen this get updated in a while.
i have made many bots for wow myself, shared info and source code on other "sites", i have a very logical brain.

and the only way forward on my CC is to honestly fix these issues. i shouldnt have to "implement" issues and things in my CC to make my CC look more realistic, it shouldnt just happen like that. more time needs to be put into the addon itself

or should i basically try start from scratch ? make my own kind of BG Bot, basiclly be re-designing whats already there.

writing a botbase is a lot different from writing a CC or a plugin. theres nothing stoping you from making your won pvp one, but youll have to do it from scratch. if your having issues from the PVP mode itself then report them as issues. so they can be fixed.

----- my bot id create would be diffrent.
had a shower was thinking of dif ways of making mine / implementing completly complex BG system
- Aggressive ( will try getting flags / bases if has 1 person near there )
- Defensive ( will play defensive the game, will hold flag / base, if more than 3 people there move to other flags that havnt got people there )
- Healer ( follows the "croud" )

People have ideas all the time. But it doesn't mean you can put it in yourself. Make your own botbase, as stated.
