Wortham Merchant Rare Quest

Excited to run this, quick question as I'm not home though to test it:

Are there any requirements? In other words, can I make a fresh level 1 of a class I haven't used and run this on it to level quickly?

Just ran on my level 57, runs great. Getting 80k gold and 8.2m xp per turn in.

Still a good xp/gold ratio for ungeared and its stable lol
 
I agree 100% Just wish he spawned faster. Nice profile to run over night tho and wake up to a 70
 
Yeah still works great, Though I swear it used to give more exp. I am sure it was semi nerfed somewhere a long the way but its still very viable and one of the laziest/easiest options for 60-70 or even like 20-70 ive found. I did my barb/monk 60-70 using this and it took about an hour roughly per char, I remember it gave almost like 18m exp at level 69 or something now its like 14 or so I dunno. Either way I took my WD from 56-70 in 240 games with 3 sec create timer, found him 4x in a row once, other times ~20 games before finding him again. Total RNG, but totally worth it. I plan on leveling up another char eventually using this, the only tricky part is getting your char to the quest imo. Also I think its better the higher level the char you do it on, My friend started at level 8 with this, and yes he hit 70 eventually, just took a lot longer.
 
So, I've modified it to manually check for the chests, but this is too slow. How can I find if one or both of the chests that spawn along the path to the merchant are there? It'd be great to check if they're there, and if one or more is, jump up and loot them even if the mechant's not there. Much more gold at the cost of a little bit of exp.
 
I have a quick suggestion for wizards running this profile:

Make sure you're not using wormhole rune with teleport, the bot can mistakenly teleport you to the top of the hill then back down immediately, and on the way down after the merchant it can start teleporting before the cliff edge and then have to run the whole way down.
 
So i ran this for two hours..
These are the stats i got
Class : wizard using teleport
Runs 92/hr
Successful spawns : 13
Success ratio : 15%

XP using a Standard Success Ratio Model : @ 92/hr and 13.8 successful runs @18.487Million xp/hr
It turns out to have a consistant flow of 255 Million XP/hour
The Gold/hr is quite decent at 1.66 Mill xp/hr
 
my DH runs like a little bit up the stairs, then the profile gives the message the merchant isn't there so it ports to town and resets. Done this 30 times now. Am I just being unlucky? (100 gph, lol)

Yes, your unlucky. Im leveling a HC toon up on Exp. ive done 2000 runs or so and im level 37.
Ive leveled up 7 other toons useing this, within 6-9 hours from 10-70

Okay, I just found it odd that it didn't move further up the stairs than it did. I guess it can locate the merchant from far away?

I dont know if this was a fix from blizzard, but i keep getting a message from diablo saying i have logged in too soon after being disconnected and to try to come back soon. It really ruins the Games per hour.
 
Still works but if you are > Paragon Level 350 it takes nearly a complete night for another level due to the high amount of XP needed :)
