Worth Minining + Herbing or just Herbing?

Unsure if its worth me leveling Mining to combo with my Herbing.

I'm on a extremely high pop server so demand for things is usually high. Can anyone who has compared herbing vs mining and herbing comment? Wanting to know which will see me the most profit (in twilight Highlands). Thanks.

Herbs in my opinion and experience is generally better but mining+combo is win.

mining doesnt tend to give that much gold, but it's abit more than just herbing alone. And it also heavly depends on your server prices.

i hasve 2 bots per server, both mine/herb, i ws thinking about dropping mining with one and switch to insctiption, any thoughts?

i actually craft darkmoon trinkets 2 weeks before the darkmoon faire, and the other 2 weeks i craft flasks. U have to have a char with alchemy and inscription ofc

I've found the same thing, that herbing is a considerably better money maker than mining. You'd think it would balance out if people only did these professions for gold, but obviously they don't. I think it's because mining is useful for more than one crafting profession, so without thinking more people pick it as their complimentary gathering profession. Many people irrationaly cling to self sufficiency when division of labor is more efficient. Might also be because the bonus from mining is just as good for tanks as most crafting professions, while the bonus from herbalism is just bad for anyone and any spec.
