Guys.

Don't know about your servers but Wool Cloth goes for absurd prices on my server (more than silk, mageweave, runecloth and even netherweave).

So i used Bliiks Horde subprofile from Bramblescar in the Barrens to farm quillboars for their wool cloth drops. Respawn rate is absurdly fast and the place is loaded with them.

Ran it on a 70 DK.

Great for tailors (I needed it for engineering and wasn't going to spend 20g a stack on wool cloth).

Suggested levels for farming this area are 30+ for quick kills.

Soon will be making my own profiles. Just learning atm so this is just an edit for farming.

EDIT: Edited. Should be good for anybody level 30-80. Fixed profile updated.

This profile works for you Lockwood? When I run honor buddy with it, my character just stands there. Honor buddy says "could not generate path" Just was wondering if you had this problem..
 
Pretty sure I figured out my problem I started it in the Barrens below the cross roads. Didn't realize how far down the grind area actually was.
 
Did you just start closer to the grind area and it worked?
 
I haven't been able to get this to work... Now it stops honor buddy and says there are no profiles that work for my character.... So I assume it's a level setting issue. But I am a complete newb with this stuff so don't trust me lol.

I added this profile into apoc's editor and am adding some other hotspots to test it out.. Will know shortly if it will work.


I'm using a lvl 80 shaman, so would the max level need to be raised above that?

Ok :). Will definitely give it a run through when my gf gets of my comp lol. Hmmm what did yah fix?

The Max level was set to level 30, simply changed to 80. Does it work now?
 
Will check shortly... Sorry lost my access to the gaming computer.... Girlfriend says it's due to something called hw. Lol
 
Lol exactly!... Ehrm. She didn't buy it lol. Guess I will get back to my database hw as well. Thanks gimik, I will post the results later.
 
Just started the second .xml provided, and it seems to be working for me on a lvl 70 spriest. Wool Cloth sells for about 30G on my server so thanks a bunch for making this. I'm gonna go out for a smoke and I'll report back in about an hour or so with its progress.

Edit: I stopped it after 30 minutes. I got 5 stacks in 30 minutes :P

Apologies guys.

You just have to edit the levels to what you need. This is always the case with any porfile. Right click open with notepad.

If you had the barrens mesh downloaded should take you right down there. But it's far south. I suggest starting at camp taurajo.

Lockwood, if you are looking further into wool cloth farming I suggest the area in the picture that I attached. I farmed this area manually for about 20 minutes and walked away with almost 8 stacks. Unfortunately there isn't any nearby vendors/mailboxes for Horde. Only Alliance.

Edit:
I just left your profile on 9 hours and only got 2 stacks of wool.(I think the bot was selling the wool for some reason.) I did however find 10+ BoP eqips and about 400 linen cloth.

This profile does not contain any profiles fitting the character !

when i try to load either profiles, chars 80, max lvl is alrdy put at 80... using 1.9.6.1 HB2
 
nvm fixed, but farms more linen cloth and has too much garbage loot like the quest item shield/dagger/wand to force runs back and forth.
 
I left it on for about 2 hours had a ton of greens and linen but it sold all my wool (and frostweave too) along with my poisons, flasks, and food. I should have checked to see if it was all protected but I've never had this issue before. Nice attempt but requires some serious more work.
