Wondering whether or not to buy new membership another month.

I have already submitted support tickets. Every time I do I jsut get told to update trinity and redownload client. Okay. Already done this several times, my problem is not fixed. Keep telling me the same thing.

This isn't the safest of things for you but I can assure you I'm not interested in ripping you off or anything, but I'm more than happy to have a look via teamviewer and get shit working for you, I used to do the same for d2nt, d2bs, d2jsp, mmbot and a few other bots although I was a dev / scripter on all of those bots.

so, you expect the support to fix every issue your fucked up private pc has ? my flatmate did some stupid shit with his comp, installing every fucking useless shit he found on the net, playing around in the system, now the bot wont work for him either. why, nobody knows, but i can just copy over his folders, run them from my pc, and all is fine. the support isnt a team of wizzards that knows how or what you fucked up, on a proper handled machine, a full fresh install removes any issues you have with the bot. hence you get the standard response from the support, so dont brag about it. and yes, its working flawlessly for the vast majority of the users.


logs can magically tell the support whats happening with the DB on your pc. could help them to find out which of the 3 billion possible reasons is behind your crashes. just sayin. also, YAR !

I understand passing, I'd be cautious of people offering support too and yeah I have no known trustworthyness on here yet so I get why you passed, my offer is always there if you need it :)

90% of the problems people are having are NOT down to the users computers but actually down to the poor coding (yes there is some poor coding in the DemonBuddy program) and their shoddy, useless, wasteful, worthless continious call home auth checks.

then tell my why not all users have those problems ? and please, tell me the source of your numbers, or how you found out that 90% of the problems is because of bad coding. because all guild/clan mates i helped out so far, including my flatmate whoms pc i just set up new, where down to the users/machine, not the bot. eg, i have a clanmate whoms firewall was set to block DB, manual setting, and he was going apeshit on the *piece of shit bot not working*. another one had it blocked by its antivirus, ports blocked, mixtures of old plugins incompatible with new plugins, or the most common case, just installing the new version in the old folder, and old settings/botfiles, which are no longer in use, crashing everything.

no, no you dont. *customer is king* is from a time where you paid fair prices for fair products. you really expect to buy a 8$ product and get 24/7 support with nice flowery words just for you ? you want it as cheap as possible, and yet remain well working, so where does the seller make the cuts ?

thats right baby. now, read the faq, read the support articles, if its still not working follow the instructions, post a log, explain what you where doing, wait for a response.

11 years ago I started my business. Now I have 4 locations. Why? Because if a customer told me I was stupid I would say of course sir. My subs only cost 5-8$ each. Does this mean its pointless because its not a lot of money so I should tell them to get over it?

I hope people like you are never business owners. Makes me sick.
 
yeah, you see, you can pretend to be whatever you like, if you really were running business of your own you'd know that there is a difference between what you want and what you get. you get what you pay for, not more, not less, and you dont pay for a 24/7 support that listens to your crying. its unprofitable. that being said, enjoy your sickness, family buisness second gen here, doing very well, and if my customers tell me im stupid i ask them why, and then explain to them if necessary.

do some simple troubleshooting, you should want to do this anyways to keep your computer running flawlessly/securely
I'm guessing just like someone said your computer probably isn't in the best shape considering youve turned down multiple helpers
stop being an ignorant asshole and appreciate your peers
and no one wants to help someone that comes here and says "i hate the support here", they are doing their best and this is clearly a personal problem, but you don't seem to get that.
check out faq's, spyware protection, etc etc... don't waste your time here belittleing the support, they trying to help

1) We don't all have the same internet; same ping; same dns; same isp; same routing; some firewalls; same timezone... every setup is different and because of this difference each reaction to the auth server will be different.

2) I have a friend too who bots and his was working fine up until the last few weeks, he's posted on this forum for help and posted logs and was told to re-install, he did that several times and nothing worked however yesterday his original copy started working again so it was quite clearly a problem with the auth server as NOTHING his end changed; he has windows updates disabled and he hasnt installed anything, his computer has been on 24/7 for the last 5 weeks with skype, teamviewer, chrome and battle.net and steam open.

Customer IS king, regardless. If they pay, they are king without them you're nothing. The price of the product means nothing. Simple marketing/customer support 101.

Yeah, I started my business about 5 years ago and we have 2,500 subs paying £25 per month on a rolling contract, we get some of the most idiotic and rude e-mails but we still remain professional, polite and help them as best we can and after they are always appreciative and apologize if they were rude or angry towards us for their mistake and some even admit it was their fault.

Your business was created by your parents... you have no say. Business has changed in the last 25 years massively and doing it the way you're doing it makes companies go bust. Just look at all of the companies that are helped by the TV shows like Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares... they're a prime and perfect example of it.

1) If they don't see anything posted, they ask for a Log (next pass choose response 2, 3 or 4)

2) Check Microsoft Framework (next pass choose response 3 or 4)

3) Update your plugins and Trinity (next pass choose response 4)

4) Fresh install and run as Administrator (go to 5)

5) Are you okay?

The post above me explained well exactly how support works.

This way they appear to be providing support whilst actually doing bugger all.

The developers are the only ones on here that actually help people. If you think different its only because you lack the knowledge to do basic troubleshooting your self and you need a step 1 -10 procedure every time something goes wrong. If you could do basic toubleshooting you would see how stupid the support is.

john the reason why we are told to post in the support thread is for a reason. Imagine if we put the dishes on the couch, and pillows in the sink and did all sorts of unorganised stuff the place would be nuts. Because it is a support issue, they tell you to put it in the support section. I have been told this before and had no problem with it and take their advice. There are 2 parts to the buddy system. 1 is the core program, it's built in protection features and other things. 2. The profiles and addons ect which people like me (i don't make any) i.e regular users go hey, I made this see what it's like. What your job is to do then is to go to support section, open a thread for example "brodie shao rep farming afk problem". This will allow anyone to view it better and for brodie to best see it this way. You attach a log and photo's (if able) to the post and then wait. Have done this many times and have gotten the help I need. As for the "free bots" you could not pay me enough to use one. You may as well call your toon imabot and start a guild called botters'r'us. They are so obvious it is not funny. Today we got a shutdown on WoW for "trip wire". I can guarantee that free bot programs do not have this feature. You will also find that many issues of afk can be due to settings we may not have ticked or perhaps unticked.
 
I feel I need to add to that too. I had an issue where I couldn't run. Did all the steps and it pissed me off. I ended up having a skype chat with a admin using p2p access to go in and fix it. Turns out my anti-virus was blocking it. There are SO many factors involved with why something will or won't work. Why bitch about logs? Think of it like this. I want you to edit shakespears Romeo and Juliet BUT I won't give you the scipt you have to use your imagination on what the words might be. To me and most others a log is just random words and signs. To someone who KNOWS the script it's like a CT scan with a black spot to show the problem. Don't bitch about it, yes sir, yes sir, do what they say because there's a reason.

I clean my stash 2/3 times a week, I also have my dns changing every... 2/3 days, the funny part of this story is that I spend 99% of my time hanging out :), and 1% checking my bot grinding like a fucking boss. made like 300 plvl in a month +-, 24/7 YAR Ghom runs...

Oh and you know what? I used YAR but I still have my account while some of us lost their a week ago.

You should remove your tinfoil hat, and learn to code... Most of the issues can be fixed by yourself, except if you're being a kid on the forum blaming tony being a bot :)

1) You get freezes?
Check your graphic settings, or your pc is dying (mostly)

2) You get kicked out of auth servers?
Change your ISP, you probably don't pay enough for a qualität service

3) Support ask for log and you get mad?
Well, 99.9% of the time the problem is located between the keyboard and the chair.
