Wizard botting the future in 1.05?

Is wizard botting the way to go when 1.05 comes? with their 100% stunlock spells you can go moster level 10 and not worry much just have the bot stand still and pump out stun and damage?
 
they might nerf the stunlockability. also dps is expensive on wizards.

While the proc coefficient on Meteor and its runes is indeed being nerfed, this change really should be viewed within the full context of the patch. Patch 1.0.5 not only introduces changes to defensive bonuses and monster damage, but also the Monster Power system, and numerous crowd control improvements. Combined with the Meteor’s lowered AP cost and decreased delay between cast and impact, these changes made it so Meteor was more appealing to everyone, which is fine. But they also made the skill extremely efficient (in fact: too efficient) to get Critical Mass procs and 100% CC uptime. Efficiency is good, but there needs to a balance. The skill is still very strong, so the tuning on its proc coefficients will hardly trivialize Meteor builds, and we anticipate that it will be brought back to roughly where it is currently in patch 1.0.4.
 
ur talking about meteor wich isnt really used in critical mass spec... so i still think it might be something for 1.05

also, anyone botting above mp1 is a retard.

Monster HP increases by 50% per level, while mf/gf only goes up 25. So for all you math-illiterate kids out there, say you have 300mf/gf, and you get 25 more, that is about 8% more loot if you bump up to MP2, but you will be fighting mobs that will probabaly take you 50% longer to kill. Bad return on investment.

The only reason I say you should play on mp1, and not mp0, is because there are certain other benefits related to mp1 that are worth the 50% increase in monster hp that go beyond the simple +25%mf/gf.

For high MP levels wizard is not viable UNLESS you have 50%+ CC, 2.35+APS, 20-30 APOC and about 350k EHP. You can stunlock 1 target with meteor with these stats and for the first few seconds your EHP takes the hits for you.

Wizards in Archon can farm up to MP3 with the same speed and survivability as 1.04.

To be quite honest, for speed and efficiency all characters should be farming MP3 or less (benefits between MP1 and MP10 is only (roughly) a 1% increase in 6-affix rares. It has no effect on #of drops whatsoever.

Personally I'll be farming MP2 with Archon and the rest of the skills will be pure damage, no defensive. If you have played MP1/2/3 the damage you take is hilariously low anyway.
