+++ Witch Doctor Stats required to run act 3 +++

unless you play a WD as your main for fun, I highly recommend that you roll another class for botting. I think WD is probably ones of the worst botting classes.

I am not saying they can't do it well, They can if you have a few hundred million gold to spare.
 
Colossus is kinda right, its either high dps costly gear couple hundred million or have high dph with low dps WD
 
i dont like to bash my fav class... but.. these guys are right if you want to go cheap go baba.. but..... with high end gear REALY high end gear... this char is unequaled in safety and aoe kills imo. and remember fast aoe kills is fast exp and items.
....
having said all this... having said how expensive they are suposed to be...
i just made a second WD that runs as godly as the first on the same profile with ONLY found gear from the first wd...
meaning it just doesnt have to be expensive when enough farming is done... you do however need to kickstart a first char whatever the char is... and cheapest is the baba.

from this post one can see that if you are ready ( found gear wise ) to run 2 verry strong aoe wd the legendary found will be insane.. with 3 more acc running on nm for gold ill spread out soon to 3 inf and 2 nm and sow on.. a snowball effect ( going down hill getting bigger by the second) will ocur this way. last night clocked 5 lvl 63 legendarys on both chars a real bless

Running a WD with 700 AR/3.0% Lifesteal/56K HP/50K DPS, does A3 with about 4 deaths/hour. What boots are you guys using? Ice climbers?

well got a pair of ice climbers today until I can get my zunimassa's. I am up to 72.6k hp, 43.7k dps, 1800 loh, 1076 Resist, 3420 armor and I still get 1 shot by azmodan's fireball so only thing I can think of is need more armor if I plan on doin him which personally not worth it.
 
Is it just me or does my WD do insane crits... with just Acid Cloud....

nope no photoshop... its the slain monsters rest in peace(s) proc..
happens with the use of last breath, sever , and tyraels might..
the end blow ( killing blow ) does 10 x crit dmg.

i switched from acid cloud to bears, although i get more deaths per hour (from 3 to 4-6), i am getting through things slightly faster and i can now kill azmo, he only gets 1 fireball off :D
 
ok you guys... i was slightly shaken... when i made a print screen at full buff... notise intell and dmg only 52 k health but never dies and ofc the res ahh the res :P
now these arent the stats REQUIRED to run a WD... but... it does help XD

I see you switched to Thing of the Deep instead of zuni skulls for off hand. And my stats are almost the same as yours you have about 300 more int than I do. Only time I really die now is when the nav server acts up or if I try azmodan.
 
What do you guys think of Zunimassa's 4pc ( 10 mana per kill and 20 mana per second )? I mean thats more acid cloud spam or bear spam if you are using bears. Only thing I see is you either lose 8-9% attack speed, 300ish loh, or 8-10% crit chance but would gain the ability to spam more acid cloud or bear quite a bit in heavy populated areas.
 
I run with 4pc zuni and spirit vessel. i think the extra mana regen really helps the bear spam, the loss of LOH isn't too much of an issue for bears as the idea to nuke stuff to death before they get too many hits off. my crit % is a little low at 22.5% thou.

I rekon it's still effective.
 
I see quite a few people running last breath.

I'm running Manajuma's knife/offhand. The knife has 170% crit damage and 2.8% life steal. Set gives 150 INT and 5 mana per kill, plus mana regen on offhand. DPS is around 53K unbuffed. Seem like it will do the trick? Or should I look at Zunimassa's set /w last breath?

Also - Does the +6% poison damage on zuni boots affect acid cloud/bears? Not sure what all is considered as poison (obviously darts are)

I believe most of us are running rares with good loh for weapons atm. Only using Zunimassa pieces for the set bonuses 2pc 130 int, 3pc 55 resist all, 4pc 10 mana per kill and 20 mana per second. Your dps is fine as I am only at 46k dps unbuffed.

Now as for Zunimassa boots +6% poison damage, that applies to everything as +damage stacks ontop of your damage. If it said +6% poison skill damage then it would only be to poison skills. Hope this has helped.
